Yeah, I've known a number of people I grew up with who ended up in prison. Many times I have written them and answered calls from them over the years.

Also, this one time years ago I was on Craigslist and bored. There was an ad for prison pen pals. I messaged and was assigned one. We are still friends today although we don't hang or anything. I tried to help him out when his girl had a new baby, and he stole from me. He apologized later. But, that trust is never really going to be there again. I have love for him, but he has problems that he will always have.

I have not personally but I used to date this dude when I was 20 and we went to a party one time and they make a FaceTime call to an inmate. Tripped me out hard.

I once was allowed an interview with a prisoner yes.
The person was sentenced to prison for digital identity theft. It was mainly about what NOT to do, what made it easy for them. The ihterview was a phone call.
