How do I explain to my boyfriend that lack of sex isn't a reason to break up?

Question

My boyfriend "Broke up" with me about a week ago because "our sex life isn't what he wants".

I told him this is crap, you can't break up over that, and yes, we used to have more sex but it's natural over time to peter out and not have it as much, he disagrees and says we are on two different pages, I told him to grow up and call me in a few days when he realises this is not a valid reason, once a week is more than enough.

He didn't contact me after a few days so I took the bigger persons role and asked him if he wants to go out for dinner, he replied that I'm not his girlfriend anymore so no, and I just sent back a laugh emoji and told him what time to pick me up, because we are still together, but he didn't.

Come on! What's there to explain? He's just another Player chasing skirts. Each girl is just another number in his "fucked (past tense) list".

Just move on and stop looking back. Not worth the time and effort.

A real man wants sex. But he balances it with showing love and kindness and understanding.

The foundation of a Relationship is respect and trust. Sex is then built on it to consummate the love.

Get the method right and find yourself a man who loves you, not just your vagina.

Would the fact that you're a condescending control freak be a good enough reason then?

You "told" your boyfriend (ex by the way) what he should be thinking and feeling and somehow think that is ok.

It's a good reason if he says it's a good reason. Everyone is entitled to their own boundaries and expectations. He's not forcing you to sleep with him He's simply walking away from a bad deal

Sorry, he's just a different beast. And you have to accept that. Some men and women NEED sex and they need it like once or twice a day. Now you kind of have a point with once a week, because it keeps the sex fresh and interesting. I for one just believe in sex as it comes and going with the flow. If you see your woman do something hot and cute, you just start in on her. LOL.

It's a perfectly valid reason to break up with someone - you aren't compatible, and that's just how it is.

People who don't renew their intimacy tend to drift apart, and makes sex important in a relationship.

Your relationship is over, get used to it.
