Should I keep perusing my long distance man?

I’ve been talking long distance with a guy since October and things have been going really well. he's wanted to call me but I have been really busy with work. I was finally able to FaceTime him last night and he was so happy to tell me that he signed with a pro football team, although not a team close to me. He called me before telling his mom. We haven’t met in person yet. But we consistently talk all day everyday. He even went on a business trip and had limited access to his phone, but told me about it before so I wouldn’t think he was ghosting me. I am really starting to like him but I am worried with us being so long distance am I just wasting my time? Should I keep perusing him?

Aw man, this is tough. On one hand, it really seems like this dude is serious about you and putting in the effort so far. Calling you before even telling his mom about making the team, that's huge! And keeping in touch while traveling for work shows he's thinking about you. You can't ask for more communication than y'all have been having.

But long distance is super hard, especially if he just signed with a pro team so he's gonna be busy traveling for games all the time. That makes meeting up in person pretty difficult. And there's no guaranteeing it'll eventually become not long distance either if he could end up getting traded somewhere else.

I guess it comes down to if you think he's really worth pursuing even with all the challenges of the distance. You definitely like him it sounds like! If you think he could be "the one" then maybe it's worth continuing to get to know him better online for now. But if you're not totally sure yet, it might not hurt to keep your options open too instead of fully committing without meeting him in person.

Only you can decide if the risks are worth the potential rewards. Just don't leave yourself totally vulnerable if you can't be 100% sure he's all in too. Keep communicating your needs to him and see how he follows through over time. Long distance is tough but if you both want it bad enough you can make it work!

Depends how long distance is it. I mean you can talk it through with him, can't you? If you really like him and see yourself together in future so have 'the talk' with him that how's it gonna be a reality? How will he make it happen? If he doesn't come up with something convincing or concrete then it's definitely waste of time.

Here the thing about long distance: there needs to be a silver lining. A feasible, concrete plan to close the distance, otherwise it won’t work for any real length of time. When you two started talking, I’m sure there were no expectations set, but now that a few months have passed, there are romantic feelings in the mix and you can’t stay at this pace forever. So if you do want to keep pursuing this man, make sure you are both in the same page and have an idea of what comes next. Otherwise you will become a time pass, someone he’s chatting and flirting with but never gaining any real traction.
