Low self esteem… hm. Like is she talking down on herself too often or bringing you down?

I mainly ask because if it’s a mental health issue (not just shyness) and you aren’t equipped to navigate that then yeah, it’s best to move on.

If she’s only shy though then ask yourself what it is about her shyness that’s putting you off, and figure out what you’re looking for exactly that you can’t find with her.

It’s easier to move on when you’ve made peace with why it wouldn’t work with that person. It’s harder when you still have hope, or if there’s guilt on your end because she was a good woman but you dismissed her because she wasn’t doing this or that at the pace you’d like.
