No. The problem is nobody seeks relationships. They seek people. People fall in love with people and they really should focus on the relationship part first. And also people don't work on themselves, so the limit their attractiveness.
1. First you should start by writing out the type of relationship you want. Non-negotiables should only be included.2. Then you ask yourself what 2 people naturally create that type of relationship.
3. Then you can start to look for someone. You look for someone who wants the same relationship as you, even if they aren't a finished product. Then once you find them you can both start to think and act like the people who naturally would create the type of relationship you want. It should be rather easy with the motion of love behind it and since you're not alone doing it.
But what most do is look for someone they like and then hope it all works out. Now doesn't that sound dangerous? You have to know where you're going in life and then relate it back to consciousness. Then you just use the consciousness that you must use to get to where you wanna be.

Yes, to an extent. It's not just the novels, it's also the movies that have done this. When romance happens it should happen organically and shouldn't be influenced the media's idea of how romance should be done. I believe if movies and novels hadn't existed we would be far more authentic when it comes to romance.

Definitely! Romance novels made my expectations skyrocket, and my standards became unrealistic. It is always better to consider novel romance as fantasy genre instead. That way, you don't confuse romance in the books with the real life romance.

Romance Novels have been around for a long ass time Thats not the cause. People are alone due to unrealistic expectations or They aren't honest upfront about themselves. Media can impact people's view of things though. If someone takes fiction and apply it to real life then they have a mental issue.
