Now , for those of us old enough we probably could have never imagined the world today even in say 1998 . I remember thinking in 1998 , how is a " free " search engine become a giant company , how could silly amateur videos be this giant thing? Pretty stupid thoughts in hindsight right? ..

So how long till AI replaces your husband / wife Boyfriend / girlfriend.. Or will all 4 of you live in harmony together? Will you be able to tell a Bot from a real person? How do you imagine it working?

The number one thing I don't like about human romance is how fickle and unpredictable it is. You could be together soon for 30 years and on a whim they will throw it away overnight, completely blindsiding you despite being spot on for those 30 years. You are never safe, you are never secure and you can never truly let your guard down.

But with artificial intelligence? You can control how they develop and put restrictions on their actions. You can have certain assurances with artificial intelligence that you can never have with humans.

That being said, I don't believe there's much sentience in artificial intelligence at the moment. A artificial intelligence that is difficult to distinguish from another human being is probably a hundred or so years down the line.
