No, I don't. I think that relationships require an element of risk-taking on both sides. Someone who is so passive that they assume "it'll just happen if it's meant to" is abdicating some level of initiative and responsibility in the direction their life takes.
We cannot force things to happen. However, we can practice awareness and taking initiative in smaller things. That way, when our big moments arrive, we are prepared from a hundred small moments in life.
Life is very strange sometimes but some relationships are only meant to last a short period of time for both people to gain knowledge wisdom and learn something before they move on to their next... But yes in another room some regular relationships are meant to be but that also takes both people working at it it's just not magic everything you have to work at everything

I do believe what’s meant for you will never miss you but I apply that to the good and the bad. some relationships are meant to fail especially early in life regardless of how much you love them. They serve as lessons and/or karma. After I got out of my abusive relationship I used to wish I never met him and wondered how my life and I would have been without our paths crossing but I know now if it wasn’t him it would have been another jackass just like him cause I was willing to put up with too much even prior to meeting him. HOWEVER, there are things you can do to prevent it. For example, not taking care of your health. People can instinctively tell if someone does not take care of themselves and it is a turn off. This doesn't mean you have to be the perfect body image, but it DOES mean you have to at least try to build healthy habits to live longer.
Another big one, which I have been guilty of, is staying home all the time. It is impossible to meet new people if you just go to work and home and that's it.
If someone is compatible enough with you and like you enough and you like them enough, it'll happen no matter the circumstances. Where there's a will, there's a way. Doesn't matter about distance or money or anything... it CAN work.
However, I will say that that scenario is extremely lucky. Anyone lucky enough to find that has won the real lottery in life.
People who live by saying "If it's meant to be, it will be or happen", rarely understand that inaction constitutes a choice as much taking action. The easiest thing in the world to say is " ____________ will happen IF it's meant to be", and then do nothing. So ultimately, I believe there will be no relationships at all when people "do nothing" to make them happen. Whether they fail or succeed is irrelevant.
