At some point of time does companionship matter more than sex?

Sex feels great while you are having it. But when you are in an exclusive relationship, how many hours per week do you spend having companionship? (Hint, many more hours than you spend having sex.)

I am certainly not opposed to having a good amount of sex, but I spend much more time talking to my wife, sharing meals, doing things (other than sex) together. And a time will probably come when we are not able to engage in sex because of infirmity or medical conditions, but we will still be best friends.
