If my partner mention that she wants to go alone then I would tell her to pack her belongings as well and to not come back. I don't see a reason why she would want to go for dinner with old friend without me. Two people of opposite sex on a dinner means it's a date.

I don't know I would think it's strange asf especially since I don't date guys with close girl friends.. If I wasn't allowed to go with him I would know he is up to no good..
I would then go out myself and have fun with friends..

Only caviate is if they are actually a friend, but in most cases people are just options, you cannot be physically attracted to a friend... If you are then your just a potential intimate partner.
