Do ANY of you give up your friendships JUST to appease your lover?

If they TOLD YOU to give up your long-time friends JUST because he/she didn't like them or didn't trust you not to cheat on her/him with said friends, would you cut the friend (s) off?

No, I wouldn't give up my friends for her.

You build friendships with certain people who happen to come into your life and that doesn't happen just any time either.

I am still friends with the girls from school who I grew up with. And since I am getting up in years, those friendships are 55 years old now.

Last night was New Year's Eve and I received some GIFs from two of my oldest friends. It really touched my heart that they thought of me and wanted me to be part of their celebration of bringing in the New Year.

Give them up? No way!!🙂

ABSOLUTELY TRUE and, I JUST TOLD HER that she has now BECOME the abuser!! She's been abusing me for the past 2 weeks!! She is in DIRE need of REALLY GOOD help!! I TRIED to do my best to help her but, she REFUSES to let me and WON'T BUDGE AN INCH!!
NOBODY can say that I didn't do MY part, AND THEN SOME, to keep this relationship alive but, she slit her own throat by flogging this dead horse that she dreamed up! I can only guess she WANTS to be alone and unloved for the rest of her life! Too bad! Tsk, tsk, tsk. Too bad! She WAS great, while it lasted!! At least she can get a job in Hollywood with THOSE acting chops of hers!! She had ME fooled the past 3 months!! Well, not completely.

No, but compromising with your partner is actually the right thing to do , if you want your relationship to last, Meaning do not prioritize your friend over your partner , your partner should be your top priority , if you make your friend or friends’ your top priority your relationship will more than likely not last.

I have NOT prioritized my friend (s) over her. She IS my priority but, at the same time, I REFUSE to let ANYBODY tell me who I can and can't have as friends!! THAT is CONTROLLING and abusing!!!
Dad had a couple friends that mom didn't like that much but, she still associated with them from time to time and even got together with them once a month for card club for a couple decades!!
The thing here is, as far as I know, neither one of us will EVER even MEET these couple friends and, if they DO decide to visit in a few years, it'll most likely just be for a few hours, maybe over a couple days!!
