Can open relationships actually last forever?

I don't want to be in a monogamous relationship anymore. They make me feel sexually frustrated and I get bored. I've been enjoying my single life for some time now but I miss having a boyfriend. But I think an open relationship would suit me better. I've never been in one and I'm afraid that guys might not take the relationship seriously if we start off like that right from the beginning... Any thoughts?

It’s possible if you meet a guy that is on the same page as you. Me personally isn’t in any rush to jump onto a relationship with a girl , I had my fair share of relationships that went to shit , so I prefer FWB’s with some strings attached with a girl that is on the same page as me. It only works if her and I are on the same page and we are honest with each other. Me personally isn’t the type of guy that runs around sticking my dick into random girls’ so I prefer a girl that only likes having sex with me but we are both open to date other people if we choose to and promise each other if we do end up in bed with someone else , we are honest about it instead of blind siding each other about it. These days it seems to work out because we both enjoy the friendship and benefits of each other without all the strings attached of an actual relationship

You have to fit your life model into that frame. I suspect as soon as you are pregnant by another rguy or he knocks up another woman, the finances and energies get divided... it blows to bits.
But it's your call.

I heard of something called "monogamoush" as another solution.
Everyone gets bored... of anything... food, house, job, car... it's up to you to make life fulfilling... deal with yourself... while honouring your commitments.

This may sound harsh but open relationships so do not work. I could have been in one once upon a time and I would have felt real damn miserable. It's truly an act of pleasure and lust. It's the act of one person kicking the other to the side to see the next person after getting a fix.

A real relationship is one where you can run to the person you love after a tough day at work. And someone you can feel accepted around no matter what.
