To those who had a partner with drinking issues: What was their drinking behavior like?

Alcohol sadly ruins a lot of relationships , if alcohol becomes more of a priority then the relationship itself , unless the both of you like to drink on occasion and know when to stop drinking before you get bombed. Drinking in moderation is ok if the both of you are on the same page with it. I like to drink craft beer in moderation because I love the taste of craft beers , I have dated girls’ that didn’t like beer or alcohol whatsoever and eventually they tried making my life a living hell bitching and complaining if I drank a few beers , I would understand if I was drinking everyday and choosing beer over them everyday , but that was t the case at all , So I only will date a girl that likes to drink in moderation as well, So if you have a partner that drinks all the time and is choosing alcohol consistently, then sadly your partner has a problem and should seek help for their drinking addiction , if you aren’t a drinker at all , you are best not to get into a relationship at all with a drinker because the both of you will clash and butt heads like crazy. Me personally will no longer date a girl that thinks beer is they worst thing on this planet , also I am a brewer , so if she doesn’t accept my hobby and passion , she isn’t the girl for me period ,

Her drinking was ultimately what lead to the end of our relationship.

I tried for years to help her, but even when she admitted she needed help, she wouldn't actually try to get better. She just tried harder to hide it, so that I would think she was getting better. She sucked at hiding it, though.

She knew I wouldn't drink with her, because I don't drink. She knew she shouldn't be drinking, either, because she made stupid choices when she drank, but she was an addict, and couldn't/wouldn't get help.

Eventually, she made a stupid choice around another guy, which caused me to end our relationship.
