Do most single guys still hit the bar after work for a drink?

From what I've seen maybe on a Friday or Saturday but they seem to hit the gym or play sports or study or fix their cars.

@NicholasRedone I think so. Was in the local health suite and all the young guys were there coming from the gym or playing sports, everyone of them lean and muscular with six pacs.

I do. But it's not everyone. Buying a 6-pack or a nice wine is much more cost effective where I live. If you can get good conversation at the bar, it makes it worth going.

Don't feel afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone, even if you're alone at first. In a bar context, there's often enough people at a bar to converse with if that's something you'd be interested in.

@NicholasRedone It's fair to say that a bar is not everyone's cup of tea. Feel free to find your "Third place". Be it a cafe, a park, a library, or a sport. But what it does do 'well', more than any type of third place, is it forces you to engage with people around or you do nothing.

I never have but I don't drink. When I go to a bar, either I'm the DJ or I am going for live music. The latter for me is a couple of times per year.
