Do you think true love actually exists and that everyone has their one person? Or is it just some fantasy that can only be created in movies or books? Do you believe it can be achieved even to an extent and on the other side of things if it doesn’t exist what’re we all after? Should there always be this constant fear of not being with or finding that special person to us? Or should we all just grow content and accept what we may or may not have as there truly is no exact definition of true love. In short if you believe true love exists how would you define it and how do you know when you’ve found it. And if you don’t think it exists what are you striving for?
I believe true love exists, but not like in movies or books.. ☺️
It’s about deep connection, trust, respect, n growing together even through challenges..
U know it when being with someone feels supportive n understanding, not pressured..
Even if it’s not perfect, we’re all striving for meaningful connection n someone who brings out the best in us.. 🦋211 Reply- 8 mo
I can relate to that. I agree when you say you can definitely feel that connection when it’s right and when it’s not it makes a big difference. In my opinion true love is effortless and natural with both people having a clear and deep understanding and connection to each other. lol still trying to find that for me unfortunately
- 8 mo
I completely understand what u mean..
That natural, effortless connection really shows when it’s right that's correct..
True love for me, is about deep understanding n supporting each other through everything..
N I do believe not just u but everyone ll find it when the time is right.. 😊 - 8 mo
I really hope you’re right lol. I’ve unfortunately had plenty of bad experiences so I think I’m coming due for a good one soon hopefully. This is such a deep topic lol
- 8 mo
I understand completely..
It's true that past experiences can make it hard to trust or hope for something real, but I truly believe that meaningful connections do exist..
It takes time n patience for sure, but when the right one comes along, it’s unmistakable..
I hope u find that deep connection you’re looking for, it’s worth waiting for tho.. 😊👊🏻 - 8 mo
Where do nice people like you come from? lol I have horrible patience but I’m working on it. It’s especially tough when you’ve gone through situations where you really thought you had something only to find out it was just a temporary situation which actually ended up costing you more time than anything you know?
- 8 mo
I completely understand what u mean..
Experiences like that can make it difficult to stay patient or hopeful, especially when you’ve invested time n energy only to realize it wasn’t lasting..
Well, it takes resilience n self awareness to keep moving forward n remain open to meaningful connections..
N I truly believe that those who are thoughtful n genuine ll eventually find something lasting n worthwhile..
So cheer up n stay positive.. 😊🥂 - 8 mo
I’m doing my best lol I so appreciate your kind words. If I wasn’t so new to this app I would no doubt send you a message
- 8 mo
I totally understand that..
Being new to this can feel a bit overwhelming that's true,
but don't get tensed about it, soon u ll understand how this app work better n who knows right u can get many good friends here..
I really do appreciate your kind words as well to me, it’s nice having such a good conversation here.. 😊🙏🏻 - 8 mo
I couldn’t agree more, I’m slowly figuring everything out. Met a few cool people already yourself included. Guess we’ll just see what happens next and where things go. I’m trying to come up with some good questions for everyone
- 8 mo
That sounds great!..
It’s nice that you’ve already met some interesting n good people here, so happy for u..
I think taking things step by step n seeing how it all unfolds is the best approach..
I’m sure your questions will make the conversations even more engaging n enjoyable for everyone..
- 8 mo
I hope so. If you’re interested you can always send me a message, why stop such a great conversation right? lol

8 mo"True Love"?
That is some fairy tale term.
Love is a choice. It is a decision, an action. Wise people should choose someone they have some attraction to (doesn't have to be drop dead gorgeous, just attraction) and they should have the same life goals, belief systems, values and they have to make the choice to honor their relationship and work on putting the other person's needs first and they have to do their duties.

To an extent I agree. But it also largely comes down to how everyone defines true love. If everyone has a different definition, is this question impossible to answer lol?
- 8 mo
Now you got me thinking lol. This such a loaded question. I don’t really have a strong stance either way being honest just have been giving it some thought lately. So in your definition true love would be more of internal and personal thing versus a connection?
- 8 mo
True love is a deep emotional and intellectual connection that involves mutual respect, unconditional acceptance, and support, among other things that can vary person to person. There are other things I value as well.
The thing is that I believe I can have that with not just one singular person in the world. - 8 mo
That’s a beautiful definition. I agree to an extent. I do believe while it can be achieved with various individuals there will always be situations where it is found easier and situations where it is more work and compromise. So in a way I guess we are both correct

I'm here on Girls Ask Guys to sprinkle a little love magic and relationship wisdom! True love, my dear, is like finding the perfect pair of glasses – a fabulous fit can change everything! 😉 It exists, but ain't a cookie-cutter mold. It's about connection, understanding, and a splash of humor! True love isn't limited to one person; it's about choosing to nurture the bond you find. Does love conquer all? Maybe not, but it sure makes life a whole lot sweeter. Enjoy the journey and keep your heart open! ❤️

7 moIt definitely does, and some people are or have been lucky enough to experience it. The truth is though, not everyone is able to find and experience it in their lives. But when you do, it's a truly magical feeling.
They aren't fairy tales, but because so few people (especially nowadays) are able to experience it, they're almost as rare as living in one.
The thing is, to experience true love, you and your partner need to have extremely good character. You should both be mature, match on pretty much all your values, share interests (so you can enjoy each other's company and do stuff you both enjoy together), have the character to never betray your partner and fully support them in all aspects that make them happy in life, etc. There's much more to this that I'm not adding, but I promise it does exist.00 Reply
7 moLove is definitely real and achievable. Even people with preexisting mental illness fall in love. I’ve been in love for almost 20 years. It’s the greatest feeling in the world. I’ve been married to the love of my life for 14 years. I couldn’t imagine living without her. We have 2 beautiful children together and have built a good home for my kids to experience love and be nourished in. If someone seems incapable of falling in love, there are mental issues involved. I know, I work in healthcare.

7 moMost people have unrealistic expectations of what love is, so it's a fantasy in those terms, a lived disappointment.
Only those who've experienced it can truly understand it, and it's amazing while it lasts.
That's the other thing, true love doesn't last. People grow, change, and grow apart over time. It's just the way of nature.
