Does being greedy in love cause love to turn into an obsession and toxicity?

When you fall in love, you want to spend more time with that person, want to hold the person more, want more attention from that person, want to be included in that person's life, and want the person to need, want, love you at the same amount you love them. What happens when they don't love you the same? The right thing to do is to walk away or learn to control your emotions. However, I think heartbreak killings, kidnappings, SA, baby trapping, cutting people out of their partners' lives, or dismantling their partners' independents and self-esteem are happening because he or she doesn't like the fact they can't have what they want, so they manipulate and take it by force. They hope their partners complies or gets to a state of blind obedience, but that's not love anymore. If you have to brainwash someone or threaten them with pain or death, you're putting your feelings over theirs. It's not about giving, sharing learning, and going through life together. You just want the person for yourself.
