Should they be really be good at something, or they can be just average, as long as they're emphatic and listen?

That's a purely personal preference.

• Can you live with a couch lump with no interests or opinions? Can you live with vanilla sex? Then I guess you don't need intellectual or emotional stimulation. It's enough to just exist comfortably until you die.
• Are you someone who thrives on intellectual stimulation? Are you easily bored mentally or sexually? Is sitting on the couch watching TV a punishment in your mind. Then maybe you need someone with similar personality traits.
