Guys, how would you feel if you abandoned your biological child?

So you had sex/hookup or been having a fling with a girl your not serious about and don’t consider a wife or find attractive enough

She gets pregnant from that hookup or fling. You tell her at the start you won’t be involved and she should get an abortion. She doesn’t

She gives birth and you stuck to your words. You’ve never met this child. The child is 4 years old and you have 0 interest in the child. You’ve never even met the child.

So do you just move on with your life as normal? Like pretend nothing has happened and your not a father or do you genuinely feel bad inside?

I would never knowingly abandon a child, in the first place, even if it was an accident.

I'm actually faily certain (90%) that I do, in fact, have a child I've never met before, and even though it's been 22 years, it still bothers me that I don't know for certain, and that I've never met him.

It's kind of a long story, but basically what happened was that we broke up, and then about a week later, she realized she was pregnant. I told her I'd be there for her and the baby, even though we weren't together anymore.

We go to a couple of appointments together, and the doctor confirms she is pregnant, and everything looks good.

Fast forward a couple months, and she starts dating someone else. Shortly afterwards, she calls me and tells me she miscarried and lost the baby. Then her and this guy move, and I don't hear from her anymore.

About five months after that, a very good friend of mine sees her, talks to her, and notices she has a newborn baby. He learns that the baby is named after my middle name. I try calling her, but her number has been changed.

So, either she lied about having a miscarriage, or she was cheating on me, and the baby was never mine in the first place, but if that's true, why name him after me?

This was all before social media was really a thing, and I had no other way to find her, so I've never found out the truth.
