Did you observe those dynamics?

I only had one short term job that I had to wear a tie. It was a contract for a few months. When I wore a tie, people did treat me differently. It was very noticeable. I'm totally not a tie kind of person though.
It can go both ways though. If someone wearing a tie goes into a car parts store, people will wonder if they really know what they are doing. Or if someone goes to an interview for a construction job wearing a tie, they might not be taken seriously.
It's not necessarily about perceived power. It's about fitting in, and belonging in a particular environment. There might still be perceived "levels" but it depends on the environment what determines the perception.
Not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if people with power get treated differently when they have less power?
Correct and better yet have u personally expeienced that
I think to an extent it happens. I was never like world changing powerful but always in upper management and at owners meetings and events frequently rubbing elbows with the elites in their fields and what I found is that people who reach the highest levels of anything are different. You feel it as soon as you're in their aura. Power isn't a job it is a way of being. It is in the way you move and speak and treat people. I know a guy Adam that in a room with a king the king would bow. Would he have the same influence without his job, not exactly but her certainly would have the same power.
