Im 25 she's 19. Is that too big of a gap?

I started seeing this girl that's 19. She goes to school about 45 min away from me and I work full-time. Am I wasting my time here ?

I was raised to believe anything under 8 years is acceptable in polite society lmao but my mother and stepfather are almost 11 years apart. Either way six years is not a lot many of my friends' parents are around a decade apart it depends on you two in the end. You don't seem so comfortable but she might not care about this gap its only right now that it's noticable but five or ten years from now no one won't bat a lash. Calm yourself. It's not a crime unless she's a minor.

im 20 and dating a guy who is 41. personally 19 and 25 is too much of an age gap. 6 years is a BIG difference even tho it doesn't seem like it. when you were 16 and driving she was 10 years old and in elementary school. she's looking to graduate college, party and have fun. you at 25 might be looking for more

yeah I'm saying 6 years is too much because even now our relationship is hard because were at different places in life and with 6 years you are in different places too

I don't think it is too much of a gap. You may have a little bit different life experience, but it really isn't that big of a difference. You probably need to talk to her about your concerns and then take it from there. If you're both mature adults, and you don't mind the age difference, I see no problem.

I was taught the age gap is fine within 5 years of age. Anywhere outside is too much. It's really up to you and your girlfriend though.
