Why do women love horses?

It sounds like for the most part women love horses because they are "strong and majestic", powerful, loyal and hard working but at the same time are affectionate and obedient.


That's kinda what I thought but I appreciate all the answers. Well, not ALL of them, guys.

I knew there would be jokes about it from immature guys on here.

I love horses because they're very majestic, strong and physically beautiful animals. They're also pretty intelligent and can grow bonds with humans like a dog does with a human. They're almost like big dogs, who are always loyal to their owners.

Horses have been working alongside us for thousands of years; in wars, in work or just for travel. They have been by our side the whole way through which adds to this loyalty and respect to people. Now, they're no longer used for our benefits in works/war/travel as much as before; we now just enjoy them for what they are and I as a horse lover, am enjoying them!

But it's like cars. I have a strong love and fascination with cars and I don't know why. I get that little buzz of excitement you get when you love something, when I see cars or horses and I don't really know what it is that makes me love them so much. I guess it's a mystery!

Pigs are probably smarter, I know. But it's the fact that they can be trained to do such complex moves without understanding a word the owner says, is intelligent to me.

I'm not sure. I've been riding horses since I was about 7 years old. They're very majestic and honest animals. And I think there's just something about half-ton animals that are gentle and obedient with their humans. When you bond with one, it's a really special feeling.

I am a guy and I love horses. I can tell you what I have been exposed to as a horse person. Horses are chic magnets. Always have been. Horses require work and care. In general most females are more nurturing than most men so they enjoy the work and care that goes into owning and riding horses. They can develop a bond and relationship with an animal that does not judge them. Horses accept us for who we are and women love that. Horses are awesome companions. Women can share their problems with them and horses will just LISTEN. Horseback riding is great therapy. All that said riding is a very rewarding experience. I could go on and on here as I understand because I am a horse person.

There are likely lots of different reasons, why women like horses. Women like strength, and horses are very powerful creatures. They are also dependable, and can be trained well. Some women with power issues may even like that they can have power over something that is itself very powerful. It really depends on the kind of woman you are dealing with. Their coats are also often seen as pretty.

The median income, social standing, and child rearing options of guys who own horses, compare somewhat favorably to guys who live in parents' basements. So much so that possibly the guy with horses being a horrible criminal would not sway this balance in many cases.
