Are women capable of being loyal?

There was this great question on here from today about a girl sleeping and loving two men (sometimes having sex with them on the same day), with no hint of irony or guilt in her description

my question is... are woman actually capable of loyalty? I notice plenty of women who like the IDEA of being committed and loyal, but in practice they tend to float from one guy to the next, usually rationalizing their actions after the fact

then there's the plenty of girls who just have casual sex and keep the notion of commitment on the backburner as some warm fuzzy abstraction

are there actually girls who haven't / won't spread their legs for lots of different guys and actually be monogamous, attached & commited to just one guy ?

what do you think of all the girls who date / sleep with multiple guys at the same time, and go through several men in short time while telling themselves it doesn't matter because they're "waiting for The One"

So you read one question about a woman sleeping with two men and now you're questioning whether the ENTIRE female population is capable of being loyal? Do you not realize how illogical that sounds?

Yes, some women are capable of being loyal. Others choose not to. Just the same as some men are loyal while others are not. This is not a gender thing, it's a human thing.

I don't think shit about them. Not my life, not my problem. They can sleep with whoever they want to, just as guys can.

Please. Guys try to rationalize it just as much.

Are men capable of loyalty? It's the same answer. Some are and some aren't. People are different! I don't know why this is so hard for some people to understand. Not all women are the same and not all men are the same. Not all men are cheaters and not all women are cheaters.

I have never once cheated on a boyfriend and don't intend to in the future. I know many women who have never cheated. I mean seriously, these generalizations are just ridiculous. It's so ignorant to think that the behavior of one, a few, or even more than a few women represents ALL women. Just like it's ignorant to think that the behavior of one man represents ALL men. People need to grow up and realize that things like this are determined by the individual, not by their gender.

I did have sex with two different men during a weekend but I was single, no commitment, it was for fun.

As my friends said, everyone can cheat, you just have to learn how to stick with your values.

My boyfriend once told me that if I cheated, it would not be for pure sex but because I had feelings for the guy.

I'm crazy in love with my boyfriend, I've never had such feelings for someone. I think it takes guts to stay with only one person but when you're in love, you can do it. I want to. I don't see myself with another man. I trust him. I know it takes time for him to trust someone.

Yes they are, but only for so long or until the find someone better to give it to, usually sold at the highest bidder, that's why there are scores of more female [rostitutes than males for example.

i'm not sure, but this seems to be very prevalent in the race of da white men.  because  Asians  and certain other cultures KNOW loyalty, they don't screw around; i've rarely heard of an  Asian  cheating unless she's americanized

Well...almost all of the women I know are very loyal to their significant other...including myself...I've only been with one man...my current boyfriend and future husband...I'm not saying my way is the right way...but I decided not to get involved with a man unless I could see myself with him forever...so I took my relationship with my BF very slow...so maybe because I have this way of thinking...I'm more faithful...I only need one guy but some women maybe haven't found the right one so wander...I don't know where those women are...but I can't imagine women cheating more often then men

Yes, women are very capable of being loyal. However, let's not generalize... a loyal woman will be loyal to her job, her family, her friends... she's a loyal person, not just a loyal woman. Just because SOME women can juggle more than one man at a time, doesn't mean that is most women or all women.

I am loyal. To the point where I probably shouldn't be. The same goes for men, some are loyal and some are not. This is about the individual, it has nothing to do with gender.

I average about one guy a year. I don't have several men at once and I hope each time that my boyfriend is the right man for me. My shortest relationship has been 3 months. I have talked/dated more than one guy at a time, but I don't even kiss them unless we're official, in which case we're exclusive.

What do you say about a man who goes through multiple women in short periods of time.  The era of men are hero's and women are hoes is long gone. It is not something I would do. But I won't judge her.  As long as she is practicing safe sex, and taking care of herself. And everyone's on the same page. Whatever.  Now it depends on how many is many. I'll assume there may he some exaggeration to this info.

I think everyone who seeks a clear conscience would stay loyal. I was together with my ex about 5 years and haven't cheated on him once! He on the contrary has cheated on me but I've never used that as an excuse or as my right to do the same thing. I just broke up with him and moved on. I started dating again after breaking up with him. I did this for me and my conscience, not for him. So I would say it depends on the personality.

Women are hard wired to find a mate who supports their needs. This allows them to basically be shallow, vain, materialistic and shifty. Once their mate of choice loses favor or doesn't meet their expectations they can detach and move on. Even if they have multiple children involved, their built in desire for needs/expectations being met allows them the option to rationalize their lack of loyalty and morality. Society has aided this for thousands of years. Just remember guys if you do something to lose their favor, you probably should move on, as they will never be able to respect you again and will find someone who fits the billing.

Everyone is capable of being loyal- but just like men, some choose to be, and some choose not to be.

Girls cheat for a number of reasons. Maybe she's bored of the relationship, maybe the guy isn't giving her as much attention or he's paying other girls more attention lately, maybe she loves the guy but the sex sucks, or maybe she just craves variety...

It's not that much different than guys, really. People in general cheat, not just girls.

Yes, women are VERY capable of being loyal.

I am 200% loyal to my boyfriend, but I don't feel like I get the same back (he's not a cheater, but he lies and breaks promises).

Fact of the matter is that there are many loyal people as well as those who are not. You just have to find them. Don't let someone else's dirty deeds ruin your perspective of women everywhere. There are many of us out there that would love to have someone to fully give our heart to!
