I'd say its true, I'd even go so far as to say that they aren't capable of loving anyone but them selves. They never loved you in the first place, they only saw you as a utility, a resource to be used, not a human worthy of love.

I have just been so depressed lately about being almost 28 and never having a real girlfriend. I am upset because I feel I may never find another woman without a romantic past where we can be each other's first loves. That is important to me.

In a relationship, it sometimes goes the way which isn't expected. Either of the partner invests in this relationship either more or either less. But how do we actually maintain that dynamic of balancing the give and receive part? Should we care too much? Should we care too less? What's the middle and how do we gain it? And more importantly is a relationship more healthy when 50/50 from both sides applied?
