The bible says “Once has the Lord spoken, twice have I heard.” What I believe this verse means is that more is implied by God in the bible than what is directly said, so if God says “do not bear false witness,” what God is also saying is it’s opposite positive meaning “bear true witness,” if God says “all the proud are an abomination,” what is also employed is that “all the humble are recipient,” and if God says “do not boil a goat in its mothers milk, it also means protect a kid when it’s baby goat when it’s mother is watching you etc...,”

So this verse in psalms

To keep your tongue from evil means: To keep your societal impact nourishing

To keep your lips from telling lies: Is to keep your social interludes meaningful and beneficial

To turn from evil and do good: Is to turn from degradation and perform honouring protection and care

To seek peace and pursue it: Is to seek connection and invent charitable happiness

So that is how I view religion, to take things from the bible that appear to be depressing and critical and invent a positivity bias for how it can be viewed or interpreted that despite its new pair ivory stance, does not transgress the intentions of the original authors in what types of bad behaviour they are trying to curtail or protect against in their initial psalmist verse, and this can be applied to the whole bible and not just Psalms.
