What God taught me about depression this week

I always believed the bible that says if you want wealth you must work hard for it and this week I met a woman who made a lot of money without hard work, and it made me wonder if I could take over her old career since she was no longer working at her job but as I considered easy money without hard work as with a career in art dealing, I became very depressed that night, not in a way that was suicidal, but in a way that made me feel miserable and depressed, and I realized God wants me to work a hard and honest living and even though easy ways of money are possible, such as working as a life coach or book editor or meditation teacher, God wants me to earn my money in an honest way.

Okay so, I don't really feel like that's lesson God would teach on depression. Yes, I do believe He wants us to be Honest with our means of living and our achieving of doing so, but that does not mean that so called "easy" jobs or careers are not an honest means of living. That would be to imply that these careers are dishonest, which means there is lying and cheating involved or it does not line up with the word of God. Unfortunately, this can happen in any career. Not to mention what may seem easy to you may be extremely difficult for others so once again, you cannot base hard work or honesty off of that.

This has got to be troll of the week. Most rich people either inherited their wealth or got it through less than honest means.
The worlds full of people who work their bollocks off yet struggle to pay bills and put food on the table.

There is no question that crime pays.

But, I like to see that I'm not the only one who would choose to work hard and earn a living even if I had a choice.

I don't understand how rich people get bored, I'd just be working on more difficult problems. You can't be bored if there are still a thousand problems nobody is even trying to solve, and a million more that need more people working on them.

She isn't saying that you have to work hard to make money, just that the Bible says it's the right thing to do.

Free money always comes from somewhere, and if you trace it back... It's almost always poor people.

God would never you tell that. That's your old way of thinking that is telling you that. And that I am sure. God is for expansion and fuller expression. God is for growth. Working some horrible job (you don't like) to earn 2 Pennys is not what God is telling you to do. You have free will but God is not for disintegration, he is for evolution. You don't work for money anyway you work for joy. You provide service for money.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a book editor. Or an art dealer. They're both honest jobs.

The Bible is wrong. All the wealthy people invest their money. Takes no hard work at all (either they shove it in a low risk high diversity fund or get someone else to manage the risk for them) and they can make 10% returns on average easy.

No. Yeah but you get rich my having multiple streams of income. Even if 1 was the cause at some point you have multiple and they may be one of them.
