I'm not only curious on what people thinks, but also on why they've their opinion. I can ask people from both sides of a discussion. It's depending on how much people are elaborating themselves.
Because my parents are extremely strong in every way, theyโre devout muslims. They lived through a civil war, watched friends and family killed by both foreign and domestic enemies and they leaned on religion. The act of having a belief system itself makes you solid and secure. Whether your belief system is a major religion or an idealogy like existential nihilism.
Yes, religious people absolutely are weak minded, in fact I'm convinced that being weak minded or having associated psychological issues is actually a requirement to be religious.
This is also why third world countries that suffer all sorts of sociopolitical issues (Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia) are overwhelmingly religious, while prospering countries such as Scandinavia, Eastern Asia and Western Europe are highly irreligious.
The worse quality of life your country has, the more religious it is going to be.
I'd like to say yes, but really, there's no real reason as to why or anything showing that they are. Once I see some research that says otherwise, I'll change my mind.
I think many might think that there are those who rely on the comfort of religion. I would say that they are actually relying on their own strength, just crediting religion.

I believe we're more independent in that sense. When we're in deep shit, we fix the problem ourselves instead of praying, which will do nothing but waste time
Because a lot of religious people are always being told that their religion is a load of nonsense, and that their is no God, but still they choose to believe and not give into other peoples opinions.

Not even close. Do you know how hard it is to be a Christian? Faith is so important. This is a stupid question. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Please elaborate yourself on how it's hard being one.
Youโve already decided to challenge my opinion. Iโll pass.

Im agnostic. I prefer this because I am open minded to any possibility. Atheism suggests you dont believe in anything.
I think anyone with a solid belief system is strong, whether they lean on religion or something else
Why?

No. They may not use religion, but they do rely on something.
Any examples on what they're relying on?
Music, friends, family, exercise.
Meditation. Science.

Religion is nothing but a textbook example of a coping mechanism, that is why religions flourished and originated in times of unrest and hardship.

I don't think anyone's beliefs make anyone stronger than another
No. I think one's faith, or lack there of, makes one "strong."
im strong and have no religious beliefs but i dont know if it follows that the two are linked

Atheists think for themselves, don't get the ready made answers and instructions from some church or very old book.

No, strength isn't determined by your religious views. Atheists seem more logical though.
I think Atheists are stronger. When there is a problem, we face it with logic than with holy books that are full of lies. We think for ourselves.
No. Because they are just as push and shove as Christians.
Stronger? No, circumstances may be different. But it's a conclusion MANY intellectuals come to and that should be very telling for many

I don't paint all believers as weak or strong. People belief for various reasons
Just like everyone else ! with different belief system.
Ignorant, maybe. This means "Not in the Know."xx
