—For by Grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of your doing; it is the gift from God and not works, so that no one can boast. For we are His workmanship, created In Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we should walk in them.00 Reply

1 You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.20 Reply
+1 yThe Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.
Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
Psalms 27:1-8

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalms 23:1-6.
It's pretty comforting.10 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 y1. When God destroys a family 'for no reason.'
God made a bet with Satan that Job, a good and blameless man, would remain faithful even if he killed his children and ruined his life. Here we see God indicting himself for the crime, openly confessing that he destroyed a family "for no reason." (Job 2:3 New Revised Standard Bible)
2. God destroys the fetuses of those who do not worship him.
"You shall acknowledge no God but me. . . . You are destroyed, Israel. . . . The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open." (Hosea 13:4, 9, 16 New International Version)
3. When Babies are slaughtered and wives raped.
See, the day of the Lord is coming — a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger. . . . I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty. . . . Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be looted and their wives violated." (Isaiah 13:9–16 NIV)
4. When God tells people eat humans.
"... And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat." (Leviticus 26:27–29 King James Version)
5. When god threatens rape.
"Why have these things come upon me?' it is for the greatness of your iniquity that your skirts are lifted up, and you are violated. . . because you have forgotten me and trusted in lies. I myself will lift up your skirts over your face, and your shame will be seen." (Jeremiah 13:15–26 NRSV)
6. Threatening to bash infants against rocks.
"... Happy shall they be who pay you back what you have done to us! Happy shall they be who take your little ones and bash them against the rock!"(Psalm 137:8–9 NRSV)05 Reply

Opinion Owner+1 y@Andres77 Yeah, I am not concerned about being punished by a fictional character and sent to a fictional place.
Your threats against another person because you don’t like what they say... That sounds like the kind of thing your deity appriciates.
I mean, it's a tossup between these two passages:
"Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled." - Ezekiel 23:19-21
"Say to David, ‘The king wants no other price for the bride than a hundred Philistine foreskins, to take revenge on his enemies.’" - 1 Samuel 18:20-3000 ReplyMatthew 6,6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Matthew 6,6 ESVFor me that's the most fascinating verse in the New Testament because it says that the Father IS in the secret. I also find it fascinating because the true search for God is done in secret.

I reference this passage so much it almost seems redundant. But I'm a firm believer in the K. I. S. S. method (keep it simple stupid) lol. Because boiled down to a simple message of the new testament it's this "love". Love God and love your fellow man. If everybody followed those 2 commandments what evil could come from that.30 Reply606 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. Leviticus 26:29

@EnglishEuropean Keep bleating that to yourself. It won't change the verse, though:

They will fall by the sword;
their little ones will be dashed to the ground,
their pregnant women ripped open.” - +1 y
If you have a problem with God then go challenge Him. I'm sure He'll be very attentive..
Mankind turned away from God. So we have the corruption that we see daily. Don't get mad at God for calling out what is coming to those that curse Him.
You choose this daily.
When it's your turn just accept it and don't whine and bitch.
No bleating here... just reminding you of the storm that you will not survive.
Go ahead and just curse Him.
RUN into your judgement.
Or sit back and bully and demean others... like the courageous... thing you are.
If you don't like how God operates then you're not an atheist. You're a rebel.
Challenge Him.
Spiteful weak coward... I thought so. - +1 y
Do you know why it's been 23 years?
Mercy.
You have your chance now.
When you're dead it's too late.
You deny Him because you're so frikkin lazy.
And arrogant.
If you really did any research you'd find the truth.
Listen, instead of being a little bitch boy and trading barbs... do some work and invest in eternity.
If you wanna suffer for eternity, fine. Your kids deserve better.
Do you love your kids?
What if?
What if it's just maybe possible that you might have missed something. And you know that you're smart but you're not astrophysicist smart... and those wankers publish new findings two or more times a year and the title says something like "... New... blah blah... This changes everything scientists thought about the... whatever."
Seriously, I read articles like this throughout every year.
What if... maybe, just maybe... you missed something.
Is hell an acceptable option?
IF... you're wrong... what's next?
And you're SO smart... where's the body?
And why did every apostle go to his death because he would not deny the Christ?
Even mafia guys that actually think eventually come to realize that death is final.
Just give up the body... right?
Why die defending a falsehood?
- +1 y
@Andres77 No sane person would want their kids to spend eternity in a boring place where all you do all the time is worshipping a 2000 years old zombie and the most famous hoe in the world tells you the same story over and over again how she got pregnant by a horny dove. 🤣
I won't have kids but I won't get into details right now why. Besides, I already talked to Satan on Telegram and booked a slot for myself in his hell. I was surprised to find out he's the better guy - no judging whatsoever that sometimes I sleep with guys too. More than that, Satan was quite open to the idea of a threesome, foursome or whatever number of men and women came along. :D Besides, given the number of scientists currently residing in hell, I'm pretty sure the place is perfectly airconditioned by now and they've already left the borders of our galaxy already. 🤣 - +1 y
I'll come to meet you to this point.
The catholic church has done more damage to Christianity than anything else... because it was diabolic in it's conception.
So much of catholic doctrine is not biblical.
There are many cults that say they are "the true faith" and they lead the followers to destruction.
More "christians" have turned people away from God than anything else.
I'll admit that readily.
The Bible gives numerous warnings about false teachers.
We're told to test every spirit.
God wants us to seek absolute truth.
If the Bible is your initial source... good.
Not some reverend or priest.
There are non biblical historic sources.
You can figure this out if you want to.
But resisting God because of flawed humans... or scripture that you just don't understand and are vindictive and want to find fault... that's all on you, bud.
Eternity!
You don't control it. Someone else does.
Just because you don't understand Him... don't condemn yourself and your kids. - +1 y
You can always change your mind... until you're dead.
Thank God you have no kids.
If Satan himself told you hell was a party place and you believed him... ok.
Just remember... you might have read the Book but you learned nothing.
Satan is spirit. He is impervious to the sun or even a nuclear blast.
Hell was prepared for him.
Hell is worse than the core of the sun.
It's hot enough to cause unbearable pain to a spirit.
And his followers.
Your spirit body will be perfect... but trapped.
Suffer alongside satan himself... in all your pride. - +1 y
@Andres77 I don't have to understand something that doesn't exist. Because your deity is not a god at all. There's no such a thing as magic, there's only a technology you don't understand how it works. That's what the savages saw 2000 years ago and thought it was a god, LOL If I had a DeLorean and went 300 years back in time and showed those people a smartphone, they'd think I was a wizard and what I'm showing them was magic because they wouldn't know what electricity is. And they wouldn't know what it is until the late 1800's or so, when Nikola Tesla created the first machine that produces electricity.
I'm not vindictive. If you haven't figured that yet, I was just making fun of your religion. To me satan is the same fairy tale story as your god. But there are atheists on Twitter and Telegram who like to pose as satan and together we make fun of all religions, not just yours. Others pose as your favorite zombie but the endgame is the same - making fun of religion. There's one who posed as the jebus and had this profile pic which made me follow him:

It’s a false teaching hence why churches find it impossible to put that verse into practice in a consistent or logical way
There is no command from God here, and no suggestion that Paul was establishing church policy for all time. There is no mention of this in the rest of Paul’s writings, or anywhere else in the Bible for that matter. You don’t have to dig very far to understand why this suggestion was made; it’s evident in Paul’s discussion of false teaching in Timothy chapter 1 and 2. - +1 y
