What are your thoughts about this? I think this is true. I achieved grades 30% higher than people more intelligent than me because I cared about my grades and they didn't. I also came up with an idea that is better than an Ivy League student because I was crazy enough to try, not necessarily because I was smarter than my competition.
If by keeping your hands clean you mean maintaining your integrity, there is often a price to be paid for this these days. Many corporations like people who play in the moral gray area or are simply corrupt, and I’ve been told by government employees in my country that one must lie on applications for government jobs to score high enough to be considered because too many applicants lie.
Sure. Like they say, 1% inspiration 99% perspiration. If you don't try, it doesn't matter how skilled you are. You won't be nearly as good as you could be.
