There have always been a ton of Christians and Catholics who rant about lust, sex before marriage, etc yet do sins like manipulation (use people) to get money from them, are racist, etc. No one is perfect but if you rant so hard about sins why do you cherry pick and call out certain sins but do horrible ungodly things you have no problem doing?

i agree that televangelists who want donations or demand it for any excuse, are bad and probably fake just acting the part of Christian to ask for money.

I'm having trouble seeing how the two lists of items are related or what the point of the question is?

The point is most religous Christians and Catholics vent so hard about certain sins yet do many sins themselves like use people, etc.

It is a sin. Manipulation is a sin. To lie to people pretend you care about them and not being honest that the reason you want them to do something cause you want their money is a sin.

I said many religious people not most. And my former friend that is a religious Christian lied to me saying he wants me to move in with him cause he wants to hang out again when in reality he just wanted to use my money. That is manipulation which is a sin. Using and lying to people for an intent to use them for money, etc. I bet you dont think it is a sin cause you did it yourself and it is a sin.

Sounds like you have some personal issues going on that is making you cast judgments about an entire way of life. I'm not religious myself but have many friends and family that are religious and each of them is a kind and loving person that would go out of their way to help a someone in need.

Well it is nothing new about religious people manipulating others for money. Most are like that. Your people that you know would call out other sins most likely yet try to manipulate them for money. You see manipulation is a sin. You probably think what my former friend did is not a sin, it is though. He tried to manipulate me

You agree that it is a sin? It is called manipulation.

You agree what he did is a sin?

@RSav4013 bro he started taking days, weeks, months, etc. to communicate back a couple of months after moving to Florida from Cali in late 2016. He did that way more than replying back a decent time. All of a sudden he hit me up first (which he hardly did since he started playing games, I had to start the convos when he started doing that), he hit me up first asking if I want to move in with him to Ohio from Florida, I asked him is it mainly cause of money or cause he misses hanging out (he lied and said the main reason is cause he misses hanging out). I said I would think about it. Since he hit me up about that he all of a sudden responded the same days he hit me up, or just soon after. When I told him later that I am not going to move, he played the same games. Than all of a sudden he hit me up first. He wanted me to help his mom. My dumbass said yes. All of a sudden during the time period I helped out his mom, he responded fine. Than after I stopped heƱping her out he played the same games. Than in 2023 he responded to me 4 months later. I confronted him about it, like I did many times since he started doing that. He said"I admit I should contact you more but you are a whore monger snd you dont see me bringing that up all the time.""I think it is time we stop being friends." "You paid for sex that is evil, you lust." So that is the whole story.

Well that certainly sucks, but I would say that's a personal bad experience and doesn't mean that all religious people are manipulative because one religious person did you wrong. It's never good to lump any group of people into one stereotype because of one or even a few bad experience. What about all the people that religious people actually do help just out of the good ess of their heart? I think you need to stop blaming an entire group of people and blame your friend.

@RSav4013 I should have worded it differently. Most people everywhere always were users, most people always were assholes. And religious Christians, Catholics, and religious people of all religions are pointed out with my post cause they always judged the most and think they are better while most have done evil and keep doing it and dont feel bad about it. And I know I asked you this before about manipulation but since I brought up the story are you 100 percent sure he did the manipulation since he lied about the reason he wanted me to move with him to Ohio and did the manipulation sin regarding his mom (even though he was honest about the mom part and didn't lie about anything regarding that, but the thing is, it is still manipulation because during the whole time since he started playing games since 2016, he acted like he was an awesome friend despite playing games, etc.)?

@RSav4013 how you can not be sure about the obvious? You clearly even said yourself that he mainipulated me. It doesn't take a genius to figure out after knowing the story that he used me. I mean come on, he all of a sudden stopped playing games with me when he needed something. You know but are in denial, huh and to lie to someone about the reason you want them to move with you is a sin. He wanted me to move in mainly for money. It is obvious. Mainipulation is evil. You obviously done the same manipulation to do mental gymastics.

I bet you would think it is manipulation if it happened to you

I bey you think certain sins are evil but not ones like when people lie about their intentions and use other people for money which is a sin and evil too. can't cherry pick sins. Manipulation is considered evil in the Catholic bible (my religion) and Christian bible. I bet if you were 100 percent sure he did the manipulation on me you still wouldn't think it is a sin and evil.
