467 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. According to our 300 years old science. Nope, I think reincarnation doesn't exist. However ours science doesn't even know exactly why we walk on surface of this planet and don't fly into space.
Reincarnation makes only sense when some information from former existences remains and will be transferred to following existences for the sake of being modified and extended. Since we don't really understand what happens in our gigantic micro universe between smallest subatomic particles we can detect and Plank units, I think completely rejecting possibility there could be more is a little bit too hastily.00 Reply

+1 yI leave that open, don't believe or disbelieve. It makes sense everything is recycled... that is unless it is burnt up. Either way, it is still spit back somewhere else. So we are all products of something else. I'm not saying we carry on the past lives.
It may be our energy is recycled and as such, we continue going through a refinement process as our spiritual self purifies.
It's all a mystery and complex.
Jesus clearly believes in it as he crossed the barrier and said he was making a place for us, so he had good company. So accept offer from Jesus (of Nazareth.. aka Christ), it's best offer there is. If it isn't true, you still lived a good life... probably.
Wouldn't it be wild i "you" can actually experience your other selves (and family) in the form of other animals. e. g. the bird you see is you in another dimension, the cat that shows up at your porch is your former relative?

+1 yI don’t. It’s a good fantasy concept and if I was in control of the cosmos I would consider it. But unfortunately I am not in charge of the universe.
It’s a nice fantasy of “appropriate” divine judgment though. Depending on what kind of life you lived and what you did for humanity it would dictate what comes in your next life. Whether it’s a cockroach if you were a complete POS or just a better human again with more talent, resources and beauty. It’s a not a bad idea of graduated judgment vs finality.
But that’s not how it works. And most people who had near death experiences usually don’t experience reincarnation. They usually experience heaven or hell. And I believe both those places are very real.

+1 yI'm not really religious. But if I were to believe in something, then reincarnation would be it.
Well, at least, I like the thought of it, much better than there being Heaven and Hell.

+1 yi remember the rAbbi scaring us kids how hot hell was... but merciful god offered people to choose suffer on earth or hell.
so a guy was too dcared of hell heat so he came to this world as a fruit... and someone didn't thank god for the fruit. so he had to come back again as water until someone thanked god for the water and freed him to go to heaven!
using fear to indoctrinated kids.
so i went to the water fountain... and before i could praise god for the water flowing, the soul passed! and went down the drain. i felt: poor guy!

+1 yCan't say I do or don't. I have had a few experiences I can't explain that could be explained by reincarnation or a deity or science that I have not yet studied or science humans have not yet understood. I have always been able to answer about 99% of life's mysteries using science and logic so for those 1% moments I am open to the possibility of something else. Provided I find definitive proof of it will determine my final approach.

Well about 15 years ago I was getting ready for work and had a sudden feeling that I should go visit my family. Reason being I had a feeling that my mom had been hurt (not birth mom) as a result I called my staff and let them know I wouldn't be in. I went to visit my mom and sure enough she had snapped her femur and was in the hospital. Made absolutely no sense how I knew.
On several occasions I have known phone calls were coming before the call came in. On 4 occasions while sound asleep I woke up and grabbed my phone to answer a call that wasn't there only for my phone to ring seconds later. None of these are currently explainable by the science we have. Other times I have seen things I have seen before despite never having actually seen them. That's about it - +1 y
oh, really interesting. It must be an interesting experience for you.

Something to explore as to why it should happen. Raises questions and as a scientist creates a drive to find answers
Yes, because - Human mind is a form of energy.
"Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another." ― Albert Einstein.
However, if there is nothing after this life, I'm still ok with that because - non-existence is better than having a very crappy life.

+1 yNo. I am an atheist and I believe that the conscious is the result of neurons firing in your brain. When your brain dies your conscious dies with it.

+1 yI believe that Mother Nature recycles everything :D
not exactly the way we expect it
10 ReplyI think we have already been reincarnated and came as people. After all, we are all wondering why we are here in the first place whether you admit it or not.

m +1 yNo, you are born you die, become worm food or ashes, nothing else we get one shot at this, live it or don’t.

Maybe, but one life is too short for this world
- +1 y
Well that’s what we get, we use it as best as we can.
I would say yes because some animals just feel so human like husky an whales an elephants they have a sense of humor.
13 Reply- +1 y
What does that have to do with reincarnation? Oh, you mean the evildooers are reincarnated into animals? Lmao, and then their old coworkers are mean to them. Talk about ultimate Karma. I don't think most people possess enough spirit to be reincarnated as animals. They'll just turn into mud or stone or something probably.
- +1 y
That sounds more like some form of magic trans. Animals and beasts have no consciousness or spirit in most cases, just like some humans don't have consciousness or spirit and are just drones driven by fear and emotion. I put no value in your experience, so don't put value in my opinion here as im probably off, but sounds like you're bewitching the elephant and not the other way around. My experience is that lifeless things can mirror yourself.
+1 yNo, unless you coun't a dead body being recycled into some other lifeform through the ecosystem, but souls aren't real so your mind dissapears completely when your body dies.

Anyone really think the current shitstorm is an improvement on 50 years ago?00 Reply1.8K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. I believe in both, I think there is a dimension beyond this one we return to. But if we want to partake in a physical experience we can.

Electrical activity like the brain indeed. I've wondered this also? 🧐

Surely it can't just be poof like odour
- +1 y
Isn't the energy one-way anyway, I know that?
- +1 y
For all I know, it's a hallucination that someone else has said yet I considered it before they said it even.
Reincarnation is a vague concept without any logical output!
