Do you agree with all the religions who say that generosity makes you wealthy?

All the rich Christians in my current or previous circle were generous with their money and time and respect and effort towards others. The richest Christian I know would donate so much money I won't discuss it cause it would seem like a massive invasion of privacy if I talk about how much they donated to our group. The number is so high, it might make you question my honesty.

I have friends that I consider to be moderately intelligent or intelligent in some ways and normal in many other ways, that are loaded with money. And they are extremely generous and charitable.

I also know highly intelligent christians that were stingy, and they are in the working class category of income.

The most affluent Christian I've ever met had a seven figure bank account after giving away 90% of his pre-tax earnings. Private jet and limousine. Most down-to-earth and non-materialistic guy I've met.

He said his desire was to outgive God when he started but he found the more he gave to the poor, the faster his business grew. After he became a Christian he started outreaches through his church as well and paid for it from his own pocket completely for five years before his pastor found out the anonymous donations were from him.

Now his businesses run themselves and he spends his time running outreach organisations.

Not all religions teach the same thing. James says we don't have what we ask God for because we want it to use on ourselves and our own lusts. Be careful who you're asking to prosper you financially.
