The Olympics banned a Christian from having an image of Christ on his surf board (the statue of Jesus in Brazil) on the grounds that it might offend Christians, yet they did something that virtually ALL Christians agree mocks Jesus. As it happens, the opinion of Christians matters more on this than non so your whole claim of this being a Greek bacchanalia doesn't matter.
