Is this a smart extrapolation of the Harvard longitudinal study?

They did an 80 year follow up analysis of their students after they graduated from Harvard university to see how their lives turned out and learn what the most impactful triggers are for the happy and bad events in their lives.

What they learned is that the quality of their social relationships outpaced intelligence and wealth to be the number one determining factor in their happiness, their length of life on earth, and their intellectual and emotional health in old age.

This is my argument:

What types of people have positive social ties with others? Those who are caring and giving towards others.

A lot of people have good hearts but they bat out of their league or fight beyond their capacity and level, and do not let themselves recover and rest.

This is why many good intentioned souls might still live short lives, despite being empathetic and caring towards others. The wisdom books in the bible all talk about the importance of moderation and balance, there is even one verse that tells you not to be too virtuous because as the sages say, the nail that stands out gets hit first.

Is this a smart extrapolation of the Harvard longitudinal study?
