Do you believe we find our purpose, or do we create it?

We choose from the options available to us that we are capable of recognizing based intelligence, geography, social and economic status, random luck, and timing.

Most choose something that barely resembles a purpose. Low risk, low effort, and low benefit to anyone. Including themselves. They are choosing to simply survive for as long as possible with as little effort as possible and are satisfied with modest enjoyment of their lives.

The people who take on high risk, high effort, high potential benefit endeavors are few. Failure is always an option in those cases. But it's the effort they thrive on, not the winning. They can't just sit there watching the hands on a clock go round and the calendar go by for a lifetime.

It's what we choose to be our purpose. Nature doesn't give too much of a fuck what humans do besides when humans be destructive and parasitic.

I was actually going to post a question a question about "people finding their purpose in life" few days ago but I changed my mind. I'm glad you asked the question though. I believe life's journey and we don't know where our journey is going to take us. We don't know what's our purpose in life, we eventually find it. Some people figure out much sooner in life while others like me take a while to find our purpose.

For me, I think purpose is part discovery, part creation. Sometimes life reveals it in unexpected ways, but other times, we shape it through the choices we make and the values we stand on.

And yeah… maybe our minds are more in sync than I thought, Little Detective 😅

In biological terms existence of one individual is irrelevant. I'm pretty sure in cosmic dimension (gods operate if they exist) it's irrelevant es well.
Life span is short and human options are limited, we imagine a lot but in reality we choose always an option that demands less energy. I'm sure we don't create anything with exception of imaginations.

It can easily be both. I think it depends on if you believe in the idea of destiny or free will. Free will says you create your purpose, destiny says your purpose already exists and it just needs you to discover it.

"purpose" is a human concept that helps understanding the world and the utility of things that help you to survive. purpose isn't naturally in the world. it's a mental crutch we use. so really it doesn't exist by itself. everyone has to make up or learn their own purpose as they got to make up or learn the purpose for everything.
