Okay ladies, if you’re married to your husband with two kids at the time, they are very young, like one is 3 and the other is 5 years old, and y'all also have a puppy. There is a hurricane coming that’s been said and told on the news to be prepared and leave as soon as possible since it’ll be in category 5. So, you and your husband prepared to leave with your kids, but in this scenario, there is the husband's cousin who is into voodoo like a voodoo witch or something like that, but the dad doesn’t mess with her like that. The husband wants to go with his wife and kids together so that when the hurricane comes, they all leave together as one as a family, but the wife made the choice to leave her husband with the two kids and go with his cousin and leave the city in the midst of the hurricane approaching. The husband/dad alone with the puppy is alone and has to survive somewhere to get to higher ground.

Now ladies, do you think it is right for a woman to do this, as she calls it “thinking about her two children,” but leave her husband behind?

Ladies, would you do this to your husband and leave him with the kids to flee off with his cousin or stick by your husband to leave together as a family since that’s what a marriage and family are supposed to do?

In the old days, the groom would formally wear a top hat to a wedding as a symbol of his elevated social status when taking a wife and establishing a new household.

The top hat was a very formal article of men's clothing in the Victorian era, signifying wealth, prestige and high social standing. As the groom was committing to lead and provide for his new bride and family, donning a top hat showed he had achieved a position of authority, respectability and financial security suitable for marriage. It communicated to guests that this was an important, legitimate union endorsed by societal norms. The hat also allowed the groom to tower proudly over the crowd and be readily identifiable as the lead partner in the ceremony. While unconventional today, in its time, wearing a top hat helped the groom "dress to impress" and publicly convey his seriousness of purpose and commitment to the expected roles and responsibilities of a husband through his attire.

Do men still do this at weddings now or no?

In my friend group, there are 2 guys that are married and they have completely different marriages.

Friend A: His wife constantly checks on him. He works from home, she works in office, and whenever she has a break, she calls to see what he’s doing. He claims that he loves it, but to me it seems like she’s always monitoring him. During my birthday party 2 years ago, she called him 4 times in a 3 hour span to see where he was at and ask if it was over. One time, we left his house and drove 15 minutes to pick up pizza. As we’re driving back, she calls to see where we’re at because in her mind it shouldn’t have taken that long. I don’t think she trusts him. She’s also forced him to change where he does his hobbies. He likes to play pool, but he can’t go to his favorite pool hall 30 minutes away. He has to go to the one 7 minutes away and be home by 9:30 pm.

Friend B: His wife never checks on him. Every time we hang out, his wife never calls or texts. For instance, the other day, he told her that he was going to play basketball with me from 8:30 to 12. He only lives 10 minutes from the court. After basketball, we went to get protein shakes and chatted until 1. A complete contrast from my other friend. He said that if he’s out late, she’ll just go to sleep and hear what he has to say in the morning. She trusts him completely.

I like Friend B’s marriage, however I wouldn’t mind a little text after let’s say 30 minutes of when I was going to be done to see what’s up. I could not do Friend A’s wife’s excessive calling.

What kind of partner would you rather have?
