Search Results: give him the confidence to ask me out

Let me cut to the chase: while I do try my best to understand it all, I still know very little about how dieting and exercise works. I just do as i'm told and pray it works... unfortunately that leads to a lot of misinformation and differing opinions on what I should be doing. After months of feeling like I was getting nowhere, I eventually decided it was best to see a personal trainer.

I've met with my personal trainer a few times; he's nice and understanding. Originally he gave me a general exercise routine, but I was thinking of asking him to create a routine for me which focuses on strengthening and toning my core. Let me explain my reasoning: I wanna do this because:

1). It would help my confidence to actually see the difference and that's what I want. I must admit; i'm pretty disheartened from spending months in the gym and making very little progress...

2). It's usually my inability to stand up straight that ruins my technique.

3). It would seem less of an overwhelming task if I focus on one part on the body for now.

4). Apparently having a strong core makes other physical activities easier. Which would help when I focus on other parts of the body.

I'm seeing him Friday, but I wanted to know if it would be worth mentioning this idea to him/ if it was a good idea?

Also if anyone asks: While my diet is miles better than it use to be, i'm still a pretty fussy eater. I am working on it, but i'm a sucker for carbs... I'm gonna ask my personal trainer about what I should be eating to and how much.
