I've had all of these. I broke my glasses so I had to touch and carefully walk so I wouldn't bump into things. I couldn't hear well with an ear infection so I kept asking to repeat stuff and I would just sleep because I couldn't hear the TV well. I burned my hand and it hurt so bad it started peeling
I wrapped it up and couldn't use it. I wasn't able to use my dominant arm after surgery and my leg stopped working for weeks so I had to drag it, 2 people had to help me climb the stairs before I took leave of absence. I was cooking and all of a sudden urine started trickling down my leg, I couldn't stop the puddle in the kitchen, I couldn't stop the urine from being soaked into my carpet. Covid made this last 3 weeks. Next covid took my smell. I shoved peppermint oil in front of my nose, 2 seconds later the scent was gone. No matter how hard I tried, I got a headache and became dizzy, nothing more. My voice box is inflamed and I can't talk. I have to use my phone to communicate.

I’m 23, but people often think I’m 18 or 19. I get why. My face, my body, and how I behave

I don’t mind having a young-looking face, but my body makes me feel like a child. I’m thin (though I have a bit more fat now, so I look “more like a woman”), small waist, medium butt for my weight, and small boobs. I’m petite but not short, I’m 5'5

I’m also not sexy at all. I know I’m not hot. Nothing about how I move, talk, or act feels “sexy"

I also behave younger. The way I speak and my mannerisms, like sitting with my legs swinging if they don’t reach the floor, probably add to that. So I can’t fully blame my appearance

I don’t think I’m ugly; I think I’m pretty (not gorgeous or hot, just pretty). But I don’t feel very “womanly”

I’m not into casual dating or sleeping around. I’ve only been with one guy, and I don’t see more than one person at a time

I just feel like most guys won't take me seriously. The way I approach dating feels kind of “childish”

Could guys keep up? I don’t like bars or alcohol. I prefer coffee shops. And I wouldn’t sleep with anyone until a lot of months have passed

There’s nothing wrong with that, I know, but I can’t help thinking guys see me as not mature enough because of all these things

Long story short, I started facing forced marriage threats from my dad since I was 5. It started with my parents telling me how they got married and that it is the norm in our culture. I was pretty much feeling really scared and anxious, so one night in 1st grade I couldn’t sleep from fear and anxiety, so went to looking for comfort from my parents (mind you they were still awake and chatting to each other).

I had this “you’re my parents you’re not going to do that to me right?” as my actual intention when confronting my parents, because as a kid I somehow understood all of the downside of forced marriage including marital rape—which now as a grown adult with a BSpsych + master in psychotherapy and training in working with forced marriage survivors/girls at risk, I can confirm my understanding back then was oddly correct and logical for a 5-year-old kid (which I got no idea how child me understood the concept so well just from reading and observation but adults didn’t?).

Anyways, continuing the story, instead of reassurance from my parents, what I got was my dad becoming furious, red, and started yelling about obedience because apparently I wasn’t “submissive” or “obedient enough” for a Asian little girl. I was constantly seen as a disrespectful brat because I wanted autonomy, and they are more than wrong, because revenge is the main thing that I aimed for.

I wasn’t just a disrespectful brat, I started having this desire to kill and to destroy anyone that attempted to hurt me especially and specifically my family. When i was 7 years old the plan was final, how i want to live my life, how i will destroy people involved if i were forced by my parents to marry, how much force would be appropriate, who to hurt and not to hurt,… back then i grieved my potentially muddy future, and now i grieve for my lost childhood.

Anyways, i’m interested if you had a normal childhood
