My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years. I initiate literally all our dates (the last time he planned something for us was probably 2 years ago), I usually am the one to initiate sex, I ask him how he is and about his day and he rarely asks me how I’m going, I sometimes talk to him and he actually ignores me. When he’s away working or on surf trips, I will ask him how he’s going but he never asks me how everything is back home. But he still says he loves me. And sometimes he says he misses me. We’ve broken up before because I’ve told him that I feel unwanted at times and that the live isn’t reciprocated and he didn’t really do anything to try and mend our relationship. I feel like I’m trying really hard now to keep our love alive but it feels so one-sided. I have even tried to back off because I don’t want to come across needy. I have my own life - my own hobbies, my own career, my own friends, and I do many things without him. I have been genuinely choosing to be with him because I want him, not because I need him. I love him very much but I don’t feel appreciated or valued and I don’t know what else to do. I’ve spoken and even cried to him about feeling unloved and he says he understands and that he loves me but that something might be wrong with him. When I ask him what he thinks is wrong, he doesn’t know. I’m 32 now and really want to find my person. I’m starting to doubt if he is the one for me but I still love him very much and want to make it work. But I also love myself and don’t want to waste my time if it’s obvious to everyone else that he’s no longer interested in me.

I’m so angry right now it’s hard to type. My boyfriend of 4 years has been working late THREE FUCKING NIGHTS IN A ROW I’m talking about 7 am to fucking 9 pm okay. He barely ever works those hours now all of a fucking sudden he’s doing those hours 3 fucking days. I call him and he usually answers and says “ I’m at work call you almost done love you bye” I CALLED HIM 5 FUCKING TIMES AND NO ANSWER. I called him at 8:01, 8:48, 9:01 9:06 9:17 until he calls me back at 9:26 and says sorry I missed all your calls I’m on my way home I was dumping my truck out. I SAID WHY TF ARE YOU WORKING SO LATE NOW? He says we are short guys and have big projects im like bull fucking shit and I hang up on him too angry to speak. He has to be cheating right? Why wouldn’t he answer after I called and texted. Before any of you fucking ask he hasn’t cheated on me from what I know but come the fuck on

He said he noticed a lot of people looking at him but they were more attractive than me.

He came home to me (it was my birthday) the following day. He slept with me took me out for dinner and told me how much he loved me many times.

Today I asked when I’d see him next he said we aren’t together. Made a new Instagram account and followed people he had previous history with that I told him I was uncomfortable about and someone he tried to cheat with. He hasn’t done this in years. I was away at the weekend with my friend and he claimed his dick was super clean now feels weird and that I must have cheated. He said I dunno if I believe you didn’t cheat. I didn’t cheat. I didn’t even talk to a single guy. I had offers but I didn’t take any and texted him
Until his phone died about how much I loved and missed him.

We had a falling out because he turned his phone off when he was out and he never does this so I asked and said holy shit you’re cheating Avis how could you do this to me etc. and he fell out with me said he was done cos I said that. Then agreed to talk agisn.

We’d be rocky because I was asking often because he seemed weird are you cheating on me? Do you have someone else? Do you hide our relationship? Etc maybe once a day some days others I wouldn’t ask at all.

Or is it revenge he knew this would hurt me in the worst way possible and now he’s trying to do that. He does think I cheated so now wants revenge or he got his ego filled and now thinks he can get whoever.

He also told me I get in the way of his goals and it isn’t against me it’s anyone he doesn’t want a relationship he wants to focus on his hobby he wants to make a full time job. He promised me he had no one else. And doesn’t want anyone. He’s not interested in anyone but made this new account and added them and didn’t add me.
