Flustered reactions: He got wide-eyed and nervous during my chaotic jokes — for example, when I joked about “my chicks not going to school” . Attention to details: He noticed small things about me, like my Dora reference and my “twin flame” comment, which shows he pays attention. Protective behavior: He moved seats so I wouldn’t sit near a drunk man and also paid for ice cream when I was short on money — small gestures that felt thoughtful and caring. Playful teasing + vulnerability: He teases me often, but he also shared personal things, like saying he can’t cry, which seemed like he trusts me. Engagement: He joined conversations with me, laughed at my jokes, and interacted with me consistently.

Based on these signs, do you think he likes me back, or am I reading too much into it?

I’m the purple msgs and he’s the grey. The convo hasn’t been going on very long at all, you don’t have to be a gamer to understand the context but just see the back and forth. 30F, this is a pattern that’s happened A LOT and I can’t tell if it’s b/c I’m boring. Or the guy is a dud, I’m unlucky or just the nature of OLD apps etc. I get that a lot of people want to jump to meeting in person asap but he hasn’t even asked yet so don’t think that’s the case here. As soon as I notice a shift whether it be the longer response times or the guy stops asking about me/not open-ended, I stop the conversation in its tracks. To be clear, that first message he sent wasn’t an actual direct message. It was a comment he made on one of my photos. I’m not going to beat a dead horse, I took the hint and stopped replying.
