Fun doesn't always have to be high energy

Here's a short mytake about fun.
When people think of having fun can tend to be a misnomer. Often when people hear of the word 'fun,' they think of emotionally charged, exciting, high energy, lots of voices and people mingling around, like parties.

Fun doesn't always have to be high energy.

However, fun can just be a simple evening in solitude meditating, taking a relaxing walk in the park or just having a calm, but interesting conversation with another individual one-on-one.

Perhaps instead of using the word 'fun' we should be calling it 'enjoyment.' Why I feel this is an important concept to drive home is how important it is to be amusing in conversation, particularly how it applies to the more introverted crowd.

It is possible for introverts to be amusing and fun in conversation, and it is possible for them to be the center of attention to. And to be the 'talk of the town' you don't have to be 'exciting' to be enjoyable to talk with.
So don't let the idea that you have to be energetic to be a fun person to hang around with. There's more than one way to get joy out of life.
