Mihaela Noroc is a 30 year-old photographer from Bucharest, Romania. She has started her own project called The Atlas of Beauty for which she has visited over 60 countries taking pictures of women. And what did she find?
Beauty, of course. In all women, in all cultures.
In my opinion, beauty means to keep alive your origins and your culture. To be natural, sincere, authentic, particular, not necessary fashion. -Mihaela Noroc
These are some of the pictures she has taken so far, from some of the countries she has visited:
Moldova
Kyrgyzstan
Latvia
Russia
Afghanistan
Turkey
United Kingdom
Colombia
Finland
United States
Peru
Brazil
Iran
United States
Nepal
China
India
So, what do you think of her project?

The Atlas of Beauty: Beautiful Women From Around The Globe
Jeez, buncha critics on Gag! Doesn't have to be most beautiful. Why is it always a contest? Anyways, while I do get we are far too obsessed with beauty, it is nice to see an appreciation for ethnic beauty which isn't always favored or appreciated.
I think it's an interesting project but I feel short changed that it's being done by a woman. I'd rather a straight male artist did it. Men are better at spotting beauty in women than women are. I mean some of those women in the photos are obviously a woman trying to guess beauty off a calculated thought process rather than the photographer really being taken by real beauty. The brain can sort of detect the signal of beauty but that signal absolutely pumps in to a pair of nads.
Some well shot photos of some beautiful women. But the Internet is full well shot photos of beautiful women, and everyone knows there are beautiful women all over the world. I'm not sure what the point of the project is?
Perhaps she needs a more original and thought provoking subject matter to inspire her?
It's an interesting project and she definitely has distinctive style in her photographs, they're quite great. Eye candy myTake for sure, thanks for this!
ugh these kinds of posts just make me feel bad about myself because these women are being judged purely for what they look like. "beauty in everyone" - i get it, i do. and i do agree these women are all beautiful. but we know nothing else about them, it's just "hey look at all these pretty girls from all over the world!" I don't know i just don't understand how this is supposed to actually help anyone feel better about themselves lol

Yet another project of this type.
Do you women really perpetually require ego boosting media to get through the day without breaking down into a steaming hot pile of low self-esteem, insecurity, and misery?
It's almost like the photographer pretentiously walked around the inner city looking for a black chick with braids, bracelets, and rings trying to juxtapose european and tribal African clothing.
I think it's great. I love seeing image collections like this of people from all over the world. And it's great that she's celebrating global beauty.

westernized-ish kind of beauty again with this stupid "a woman's beauty is her worth" make up and flat ironed hair... and a lot of those countries, regular/most people look a lot different
nope... no
next: atlas beauty : what contry has the sexiest woman yo must sleep with
LOL if that was true then I believe we are living in the cave men era. Do you really think that's true? I think it's the media and porn industry that paint the white girls all over the place making them "first comes to mind" when we think about something sexy/beautiful.
