Is there anything more sexy than a Witch. No mater if it's a modern day Wiccan, a Halloween costume or just a woman with a pendant trying to keep the world away. Maybe it's just because I grew up with such beautiful examples like Samantha Stevens, Elvira Mistress of the Dark and even The Evil Queen in Snow White. I haven't really thought about it much until today but those wonderful ladies started my love affair with Sorceresses.
Sure I had dissuaders along the way. Like the "church," my parents and even the girls themselves telling me to leave it alone. Yet a young Pervert in love with an idea is a persistent little fellow. I started much like the song "Girl all the bad guys want" by Bowling for Soup.
Trying to figure out what made them tick. Listening to Metal, reading dark poems and learning what I could at the library. Which was as fruitful as the song.
But I finally met a beautiful Witch when I was 16 by the name of Faith. She was the girlfriend of my roommate Scott at Job Corps. Even before I was let in on her "secret" I was drawn to her naturally and wanted to date her. Yet aside from being Scott's girlfriend she was also pregnant by him. Still I resolved to learn more about her world and tried not to flirt as much as I wanted to. I would always come up with a question to ask her and she would dance around the topic but not get specific. She eventually asked me how I knew so much and why I wanted to know more. I told her of my attraction to Witches and she laughed. From then on she was more open to my inquiries.
There are a lot of misconceptions about Witches in general and trying to find what I thought was a real one was quite difficult. They weren't prone to talking about themselves at the time. So I will go over the basics of what I learned:
1) They're just people. So just like average people Good, Bad or Dark Witches it's all a personal choice of path. 
2) Witches have a code. "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will" now there's a whole rede that goes along with this but most Witches abide by this. So if you think they might curse you if you behave badly it won't be the case. They will most likey use a negativity spell to rid themselves from any lingering feelings about you.
3) They don't bewitch people. If you lose your man to a suspected Witch it's not the work of spellcraft just the heart. Most of the Witches I've met, including the men, are just naturally confident or at least seem to be.
4) Witchcraft is a religion. While people are quick to give them a cult like status the U.S. Government has given them legal religious standing as of 1982.
5) They don't worship the "Devil". They are polytheistic. They use many gods to work their magic and just like people gods have their own positive and negitive sides. Many people confuse the Horned God with the Devil but it's like saying all men with beards are goats. The Horned God is basicly just the personification of the life force energy in animals and the wild
6) The Witches Pentacle is not the Statanic Pentagram you can tell the difference as easy as North and South on a compass. 
7) Animal sacrifices aren't part of their art. They love animals. Most will keep animals as companions or "familars" sharing an emotional/psychic bond with the animal that is attuned to the power(s) of its human partner.
8 ) Being a Witch doesn't mean you belong to a coven. In fact most like to keep to themselves. Magic much like religion in most cases should be a private affair.
9) The pointed hat while helpful at a costume party isn't part of the practice. Along with the broom it was just a author's tool to help sell books. What's more provocitive than a sexy woman riding a big stick?
These, I think, cover the basics. As sexy as they are in or hopefully out of any costumes, always remember to be respectful of their religion. Manners go a long way with them. Being rude to a Witch comes with a price but not a curse. And while they won't hurt you, they don't have to help. I found this out in Scott's case. Scott was on the verge of leaving Faith but he was also very jealous. Faith had always helped control this with love and spells. Yet she stopped when she found out his plan and gave him space without her help. Enter...Wesley. A new friend and a dog with long hair. I warned him not to but he insisted it was fine to hit on Faith. The two of them flirted for two days before Scott's jealousy got the best of him.
I was shaken for my sleep at two in the morning by Scott smiling from ear to ear. I grumbled, What? This is verbatum what he said to me "If she likes Wes so much... Let's see if she likes him without his pony tail!" He held up a pair of scissors in one hand and a pony tail with a rubber band still on it in the other hand. Turns out Scott cornered Wes in the wash room, beat him up and cut off his pony tail while Wes was passed out. Let's just say breakfast that morning in the cafeteria was very lively. In the end Wes got a black eye and a bad hair cut. And Scott and Faith got married.
Be careful when courting a Witch they are slow to trust and don't much like courts.
