Are you serious right now? The domestic violence has nothing to do with Islam, thats first of all. Second thing is, domestic violence can be done by ANY RACE OR ANY GUY FROM ANY OTHER RELIGION... You are gonna tell me Christians have never done domestic violence? It Jews? It atheists? NO, they HAVE. So stop only pointing it out when some Muslim jerk ( he's a jerk for doing that for a women, let him me Muslim or not) does it!! And Islam RESPECTS women, what u see it those pictures are some control freaks that hit their women if they don't do what they are ordered, and that is NOT what Islam asks for. Stop believing everything that goes on the media..
@DaniaMQ
"Women's Rights Under Sharia
An overview of the lack of equality and oppression of women under Sharia - the position of women in Muslim majority societies."
www.clarionproject.org/.../womens-rights-under-sharia
Sharia law is an Islamic legal system which provides an Islamic alternative to secular models of governance. Women in societies governed by sharia have far fewer rights than women in the West.
Good luck with your acid to the face goals of 2016

@DaniaMQ Women are gullible and first to be drawn into whatever social movement/agenda is being pushed. See feminism.

dude u should better study Islam from Islamic literatures, it is a stupid thing to know something from its opposer.
Look, if ur gonna take what a few of jerks do and say that the whole religion asks for it, then u will never be right... Dont go to extremes people and ask them about Islam coz u will hate it.. Dont ask someone " free" coz he already isn't doing the things that should be done as a Muslim.. Go ask someone how is " in the middle" ... Islam has over 1 billion believer.. If Islam orders to treat women as a piece of **** then it wouldn't be the biggest religion in the world... Go know about Islam from a GOOD MUSLIM and then u will see how they don't beat up their women..
@DaniaMQ Islam is wicked religion that is based of on fear and violence and deception, muslim are raping and killing women who don't wear hijab, as well as women who want to leave Islam. Muslims are also like to use forced conversion, and all those things had started with the Muhammad himself. Islam is so big mostly by evil means. Muhammad is the real Antichrist.

@Berethor look, dont talk about things u clearly have no idea about okay? People want PEACE, so if Islam is all about violence it won't be the biggest religion in the world.
IM Muslim and IM NOT wearing the hijab, and NO ONE EVER -I repeat, EVER- used violence towards me, or even said a word about it, and I know LOTS of other Muslims that aren't wearing hijab and they were NEVER told anything bad and they had the same respect from women AND MEN.
oh, so u say by the prophets Muhammad himself huh? I've never knew that I guy who says " if u go to a war, dont hurt any child, or any WOMEN even if she was armed and tried to attack, or any old man or and TREE ( yes, even the freaking tree) " is a guy that wants to kill, abuse women and be violent, thanks for the info 😒
you might find really strict rules in Saudi Arabia, but that because they are too strict, and that's definitely NOT what they are supposed to do.
@DaniaMQ not to shit on anybody, but you aren't exactly living in a muslim culture if you live in spain.
Also, You may say any race and religion can have thier arsepick husbands, but islamic law is the only major religion that won't take action to punish it.
That being said, Im in Canada so it's not like i have first hand experience
@Jack_S this is my third year in Spain.. I lived 8 years in Jordan, and that's where I was born, and another 7 years in England, so yes, I did live in an Islamic country. I'm not gonna say this doesn't happen, coz it does, just like any other part of the world!
who said they don't do anything? They are taken to jail!! Unless no one says anything of course no one will know anything about it!
@DaniaMQ So, you lived in a coutry where sharia law wasn't in place for the most protected years of your life of 0 to 8. Then moved to western contries for the remainer. Missed the bulk of the problem from what i see.
@Jack_S noooo its not like that 😂 I didn't say them in order... I was born in Jordan, then when I was 1 y/o I went to England, when I was 9 I went back to Jordan, I moved put to Spain when I was 15, and now soon I'm turning 18, this is the third year here... So yeah that's how it is. So at least since I was 11 I knew what's going on, and I lived around Muslims obviously since I was in Jordan.. And I've NEVER seen what's said above happen, LITERALLY NEVER... It might happen? Yes. They get punished? YES. It happens by Non-Muslims? YES... What's the problem then?, well, people love to point out the bad things o, ly when it comes to muslims, and then blame the religion for it.. I can't easily say that thats what Christians all do or Christianity orders, coz there loooots of domestic violence by them as well, but I won't say that coz its not true.
* out to spain
@DaniaMQ thank you for the clarification. In your case and your background, are you then pro-sharia law?
@Jack_S welcome.😊first of all, Sharia is an amount of rules that are put by PEOPLE (Muslims). Those rules that are put, are basically what those people understood from the Qur'an. What I am with and my guide is the Qur'an and Hadith. I'm capable of understanding the Qur'an, or at least most of it, without having to go back to the rules that people put depending on what they understood. Second thing.. About the laws, Who said that the laws in Europe are all fair? Who said they are the ultimate? Let me give u an example and a compare it with what Islam says.
This is a REAL example of my neighbor who is Spanish and Christian, his wife as well. That man is such an amazing and decent guy, now when they get married, the law says that his wife has a half of EVERYTHING he has. After less than 1 year of marriage he got back home, and BOOM, he found a guy in house with his women, she cheated on him.. He asked for divorce and guess what happens? She stays with half of the money and the house👇
Is that fair? Hell no it isn't, and I'm a women here, not a man talking and saying its not fair.. What Islam says if that after a long period of time of marriage, for example, let it be 10-20 years, she has the right to do that, coz she would've supported you in ur work and how u got the money, so she has that right, but not if in a year she goes and cheats on you? Is that fair? No.. Its just fair by the law.. But why? Only coz she's a women? Why call the unfair fair?
@DaniaMQ so where you live now, ypu would be against sharia law then?
You are very right about not all laws being fair, but it is in the sharia law that blatantly favours one gender over another in terms of protection.
In truth, I've never met a muslim who rubbed me the wrong way. But when they meet in groups to protest drastic law change to favour thier interpritation, i get nervous for the future.
@DaniaMQ and for that specific example, its throw to the other extreme. Instead of divorce and half of the assets, the woman would recieve thrown stones.
(In sharia law anyways)
@Jack_S im not against it nor with it, I just don't take it as a definite guide if u know what I mean 😅
"it is in the sharia law that blatantly favours one gender over another in terms of protection. " can you clarify that a bit more please? Like with an example or something?
and u said u get nervous for the future, that happens to is too when we see extreme Muslims going out in the streets and they will be like " GO SLAY ALL NON-MUSLIMS" I would be like, WTF is wrong with you guys!!! I hate it when they say that its what Islam says coz IT FREAKING isn't. When I see those kind of people it makes ME scared, and I'm Muslim. Not just me, but lots of other Muslims as well, coz We KNOW they only want to kill and give Islam a bad image, EXACTLY like ISIS...
"Instead of divorce and half of the assets, the woman would recieve thrown stones. "
in my whole life, I've never heard that happen... Like ever... Some guys might treat their women as slaves? Yes. Just like in other places 👇
.. just like in other places and religions? Yes.
is it true that Islam asks to do that? NO... Is the violent person put in jail or gets a punishment? Yes.
in Islam the most harmful thing u can do is give the women a HARMFUL slap. What does that mean? It means if she did a HUGE mistake, the most thing u can do is slap her but without breaking ANYTHING or even to the power of leaving a mark on her face.
so it is showing us the MAXIMUM LIMIT of hitting, anything more than that it even anything that can leave a mark, you are able to go to the police and hand him in and he will get his punishment. There's a clear limit to it so that no one will say " oh but it says we can hit her, so I just decided to beat her up till death", those jerks aren't representing any religion, so lets not say they represent Islam or Qur'an or Shariah or whatever.
** or even anything ( not " it even " )
sorry for any other spelling mistakes, I must sleep now so I'm typing fast 😁
** that happens to US too... UGH -.-
@DaniaMQ well, i think thats part of the issue. You are neither for it or against it, but it is a huge deciding factor for me as to whether i think a muslim is to extreme or not. I would view it as a catholic seeing Westborough Baptist church and going "ya, i dont condem or condone what they do"
Also, what im refering to the male favoured sharia law...
"Under Shari'a, or Muslim law, compensation for the murder of a woman is half the going rate for men. In many Muslim countries, these directives are incorporated into contemporary law. For a woman to prove rape in Pakistan, for example, four adult males of "impeccable" character must witness the penetration, in accordance with Shari'a"
From time magazine
@Jack_S I dont blame you guys for saying that Muslims are extreme or dont act like, Muslims at all coz that's what media wants u to see... Thats exactly what they want! And since you didn't experience living in any Muslim country then you can't really see the REAL image of everything...
now about the rape thing... Its not when u are RAPED, its when, u have sex before marriage... Only if there was 4 MATURE (so not kids) people that witnessed the sex thing, thats when the man and woman would be punished, now having sex in a group or having people WITNESS it, is super hard in our culture or among Muslims, so its even nearly impossible to catch them... Does that seem as violent to you? I don't think so.
@DaniaMQ so are you saying that in sharia law, a raped woman doesn't need those four witnesses to recieve justice? Or are you saying that it is super hard to catch rapiest? Or that premarital sex should be punished if discovered?
@Jack_S no no, i wasn't talking about the rape cases, I was talking about having sex before marriage, with the total will to do it.
if she was raped she doesn't need a witness, she should go and tell about it and they will do what they should do, it at least thats what I know
@DaniaMQ that makes far more sense, especially if everything is running uncorrupted.
Personal question though, as a 17 year old Muslim, are you comfortable with government imposing religious law? For example, an unmarried muslim woman commiting adultery with an unmarried man and facing punishment for thier crime if found.
@Jack_S okay, so, I like knowing about religions and stuff, and I have a lot of faith, I firmly believe that everything that if God forbids something, then there's a reason behind it. Let me give you an example that LOTS of people are against. Its about cutting off the hand when u steal something. Now u read what I said and u'll be like WOW THATS SO CRUEL. But let me tell u the conditions of it. If a person that NEEDS to steal, a poor guy for example, stole anything, then u dont do anything at ALL to him, instead, you should help him get what he needed coz its not totally his fault for being poor. But let me put you in another situation, a millionaire guy.. He has millions in his pocket, but he's stealing money from people, and coz of him there's lots of others that dont have money or even a place to sleep in... Once you, as a human, know that there's a rich jerk that stole money when he already has got money and you aren't going so well economically.. 👇
So, what will poor people would want to do to him after knowing that the millionaire guy or king or whatever was stealing their money and they are in bad conditions? You would want to cut his HEAD off... But no. God tells us just cut his hand off, dont kill him for it. AND we must cut the hand that he doesn't use so often for everything, like if he uses the right hand a lot then cut his left or vice versa.
and if THAT was truly made and put on action, you would be guaranteed that the person will think 1000 times before stealing anything IF HE'S NOT IN NEED.
now about the adultery before marriage. Like I said. It would be impossible to catch 2 having sex, ( see them DIRECTLY) if they didn't tell you anything.. 4 ADULTS. No person will see you if u be careful and don't do anything in freaking public. So there's basically no way for you to get killed or punished or whatever. AND remember, rules are a way to put order. If you don't put, rules its gonna be a MESS. 👇
Its gonna be like a school without a director or teachers!! How would THAT be? We don't want to even imagine it XD
so I prefer having rules to forbid us from doing things ( and it clearly has some mercy in it, by letting it be 4 adults seeing u directly) that can be bad for us, rather than letting everything open and having bad results for it.
@Jack_S and by the way. In Islam we have a rule ( even if some people don't act like it unfortunately) and that rule God and our prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said. That rule is to NOT FORCE anyone to do anything. You only give advice. You only can tell him CALMLY what you think is right. Now if he doesn't want to listen or whatever, then that's his problem. Leave him. We aren't Gods to judge him or whatever. Thats between him and God. So, for example, you want to drink alcohol. In Islam its forbidden, so we tell you for example" oh come on mate, alcohol isn't good, at the end u might become addicted, and u can have that same fun without alcohol and with 0 trouble" but he insisted. Then leave him. Thats it. U did what u had to do, now its his business to take it or leave it. And same thing goes with hijab, having any sexual relationships before marriage, etc.
@DaniaMQ that was very informative. However, isn't a sharia law judge allowed to make a ruling when provided with irrefutable evidence, such as a video? Secondly, saying "it isn't an issue nor improper because it is hard to prove" doesn't make it ok.
Also, you didn't answer the question. Do you think adultery in the situation provided above should be punished?
@Jack_S i really dont know. Like, I've been thinking about that topic for a while, before i even saw this MyTake. In Islam committing what we said previously is a big sin. And its forbidden coz it has bad results. I think there should be a punishment, its the same as when ur mom and dad tell u not to do something, and you decide to do it, so you get punished for it. If there's no rules or punishments for anything then everything will be so messed up. We will become animals not humans... But like i said. The punishment is put in order to make you use your brain a bit before u think of doing a mistake that might have bad results for you. And THATS why the punishment is put. If u tell a guy not rape a girl ( for example) or not to steal anything, but he would be like " or what? " so you would be like.. Or nothing... I won't do anything, u have no punishment for ur acts. What will he do? He will definitely do what he wants to do coz there's nothing stopping him, he has no "warning" signs
@DaniaMQ perhaps the proper question should he then "if a muslim believe something is inherintly wrong, is it right for that muslim to believe it is wrong for everyone, dispite their personal belief or moral code"
Should specify "... believe it is wrong for everyone AND warrents punishment, regardless of their religion or morals..."
@Jack_S it is right for that Muslim to believe its wrong for anyone he wants BUT it is NOT right for him to force it on anyone.
just like SOME Christians believe that women shouldn't wear the hijab. They can believe whatever they want, and they can share them with us POLITELY, but its nit their right to force us not to wear hijab.
@Jack_S it is right for that Muslim to believe its wrong for anyone he wants BUT it is NOT right for him to force it on anyone.
just like SOME Christians believe that women shouldn't wear the hijab. They can believe whatever they want, and they can share them with us POLITELY, but its not their right to force us not to wear hijab.
@DaniaMQ ok so, we agree that those tenents and beliefs shouldn't be forced. Then how can you say you are niether for or against sharia law? That is what makes me question the entire culture and religion.
You are seventeen. Arguably at the peak of your awareness of the social and cultral shape of the world while still holding onto the sense of justice and right and wrong that is present in the youth. You see the world in a light that elders can't see anymore.
Dispite that, you are ok saying you are impartial towards sharia law - a forced system of law that takes its entire judicial process from religion and effect everyone dispite their belief or moral code
Thats why people get worried when presented with large numbers of Muslims
Or at least, it is how i see it
@Jack_S because I take my morals from the Qur'an and the hadith. If I want to know about something religious I go back to the Qur'an and hadith not to what the sharia says.
and like you said. I'm only 17 there's loooots of things I still dont know that u might ask me about and I may not know them or the reason behind them or even the true definition of something, if u know what I mean.
@DaniaMQ i do know what you mean, just seems like such a stark contrast in personal ethics.
In either case, thanks for the conversation. It was enlightening
@Jack_S thank YOU for being open to talk about it without insulting me, like lots of others here.
have a nice day/night and I'm glad you found it enlightening 😊
You forget to add. My husband has the right to have 4 wives, I can't go out without his permission, I am inferior to the men, I am too tired to list more because there're countless. Good luck.
Huh? Well, you forgot to add,
"My husband has the right to have 4 wives"
It's not that simple... there are lots of restrictions and requirements for a second wife... and even if, what's the percentage of Muslims with more than 1 wife at a time? You'll find that it's a severe minority.
"I can't go out without his permission"
Total bullocks, you're stereotyping Islam over the extremely old days in which women couldn't do anything without permission regardless of religion.
"I am inferior to the men"
Which Abrahamic religion doesn't do this again? Enlighten me...
"I am too tired to list more because there're countless."
Glad you're too tired because that's a whole lot of bullocks in 1 post. -.-
@DBAOracle LOL Regardless of the restrictions to own more than one wife, the idea of allowing it, is fucked up to me. You can ask 10 Muslim ladies how many of them agree if their husbands want polygamy but I can see an obvious reason why men agree on it :)
No-one "owns" a wife that's for 1.
2) I also think it's not a great idea but, do Muslims think so? And do they have to agree with it? No, because it's not something they have to do. Believe me, even the majority of Muslim husbands don't do this. Even though it might be effed up to have more than 1 wife, there are circumstances that have to be met to marry more than 1 woman. You can't just go and re-marry and all this stuff and also the wife must know that you're getting married again it's not like you can keep a secret fling. It's not that much of a roam-free concept like you're thinking it to be.
It is also the man's legal responsibility to provide everything for his wife. If she has her own money, he has no right to it. If the man can't afford to feed his family, and the woman is rich, she can literally let the children starve, and only the man will be at fault for not living up to his responsibility. There was even a case a long time ago in England, where a woman took her husband to court claiming that he should have to pay her income tax, and won. This during a time where women couldn't vote. There is a whole other side to these cultures that aren't talked about. It isn't as simple as men enslaving women. That belief is propaganda used to spread hate for other cultures. Most women in Islam actually want gender roles enforced, because they gain so much from them.
As for marrying more than one wife, that comes from a time where men had a much shorter life span, and women could be left without a man to provide for them.
Lol Islam Enemies , if you don't know enough about islam then don't critisize our religion
The permission part is not true actually cause a man can't go out without his wife's permission either. The right to 4 wives though is true.
I am so glad you are connected with your religion and you found a life that is suitable for you.
Interesting read !
We all have a way of life that works for us, it's a good thing you figured it out in early adulthood.
Hey, thanks for being so reasonable and open-minded. I find your mytakes and opinions very refreshing.
Thanks :)
"The pilgrimage is obligatory for all Muslims once in their lifetime."
FALSE, it isn't.
Also:
s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/.../...439acaeafa.jpg
Great Take. Welcome to Islam, the religion of peace. And yeah I wear a dupatta too and I am a big feminist too 😊
P. S: people (except Muslims!) here will just keep on talking against religion especially Islam and then state it is Islam who is against other's beliefs and religions 😀
Sorry I meant to say not all people -some people! others are tolerant. And yeah forgot to mention Pilgrimage is obligatory on every healthy, sane and affording Muslim not every Muslim!
I applaud your courage, especially since you are to face discrimination at its finest, especially in the U. S.
Stay strong, and I am very happy for you that you found your place, spiritually speaking :)
(and no, I'm not Muslim)
Although I do agree with some of the tenets of Islam such as modest dress and prohibition of alcohol, I don't see why you have to submit to God to do that.
The hijab is not necessary for modest dress, you can simply not wear revealing clothing, which is what many secular Muslims prefer. As for alcohol it's not that hard to abstain from it.
you agree with prohibition of alcohol, cmon you never ever have any, nothing wrong if it's every now and then
@Josht11 If it's a personal choice sure but not if it's enforced by the government.
I guess I should've said abstaining from alcohol.
thank you for clarifying.
While I agree that one doesn't need to submit to god (I am personally an agnostic) I do think that their is a lot of good lessons in religious texts and teachings (when you get pasted the political and pseudo historical crap).
@hellionthesage I agree
@hellionthesage Sure there are some good lessons bu tjust because I agree with a few parts I'm not gonna respect a religion that is lying to people.
@Josht11 How is it lying? Lying requires the willfull withholding of information if a group believes something then whether or not its true they cannot by definition be lying because they believe it. Further I would point out that in all probability you believe quite a few lies yourself so thats not really a good point of judgment. If your looking for perfection then you will always be looking because it doesn't exist.
@hellionthesage The fuck you on about it's withholding information, lying is just not telling the truth and saying there's a god called allah is a lie I'm on about Islam and the Qu'ran not the muslims.
@Josht11 Is it also the big bang theory? Since by definition its not a theory, its barely even a hypothis? How can you prove that their is no god? Clearly if you make the claim you have the proof to back it up? What is god? If we do not have a consensus on what god is then we cannot disprove the notion. You believe things that are demonstratably false just as most of humanity (if not all) you may disagree with it but they are just as strong in their belief in a god as you are that their is not (both of you have no evidence for your claim yet you still believe it meaning you actually have a lot in common with them). Since you cannot empiraclly prove that god does not exist you cannot logicaly claim that but you do any way that is belief the very thing you are criticising religious people for having. Its actually quite ironic.
@hellionthesage The burden of proof is on them you fucking idiot, you can't disprove these claims I could say can you prove there isn't an invisible unicorn behind you so am I not lying if I say there's an invisible unicorn behind me as far as I'm concerned if you don't have evidence to back up your claims it's bullshit and fake.
@Josht11 @hellionthesage
Calm your tits people. We're all atheists here.
Josh, the idea of a God isn't a lie but a device to be referred to by some people when they don't have an answer.
The Ancient Egyptians used to pray to Ra, the Sun God every night because they wanted the Sun to come back since they didn't know about the Earth's rotation.
@Josht11 The burden of proof is on any one who makes a claim, being an atheist does not exempt you from having to prove your point with hard facts (other wise how would you be any different then them?(which was my whole point actually, its not the belief but how one comes to it that matters.) If you say it and believe it to be true then you are not lying it is not a false hood in your mind. That is different then it being false rather lying requires that you knowingly speak untruths rather then simply believing something that is false. If some one says the sky is blue because of light reflecting off of the ocean (a common belief) does it make them a liar? Only if they actually know its false otherwise they are simply misinformed. As for evidence I agree you need evidence to back up your claim which is why I pointed out if you claim there is no god then you would need evidence to prove that, it goes both ways it doesn't
@Josht11 simply apply to those you disagree with it also applies to you. Which is why I also pointed out that we have no clear definition of god and therefore we cannot disprove the existence of god (if we use the definition of a creative force being god then we would no absolutely that their is a god because we exist (spenozza and einstien likened it to the equation of existence being god) if we use the definition of a being that is sentient and fully involved in human affairs then we might be able to argue against that but the fact is until their is a consensus we cannot really disprove god because we have no real way of knowing what god is in order to disprove it. @QuestionMan I'm not actually upset (I don't know why every one thinks that) a disagreement is healthy and normal in my opinion differences of opinion is a good thing, helps us grow. And technicly I am not atheist I am agnostic (similar but fundamentally different at the same time). Sorry for the inconvience.
@hellionthesage I see your point, it's a well formed opinion I applaud you on that. Josh was simply being a cry baby.
I have to disagree with you though. God is a hypothesis claimed by a religious person so the burden of proof lies on them. Sort of like you claiming there are unicorns in North Korea. Unless you can provide evidence to your claim, it is baseless.
You cannot disprove something unless you have the information right in front of you. Like a math equation can only be wrong if someone shows it to you and you see the mistake, but if a person claims the equation is perfect without showing you then how are you supposed to believe that person?
I fully agree that any one who asserts that their is a god has to be able to provide some evidence but why would some one who says with absolute conviction that their is no god not also have to provide some kind of evidence? I would not tolerate that for a religious person any more then a non religious person. hence my argument, that is if you cannot even define god then how can you no with absolute conviction that their is no god?
@hellionthesage Before any theory is recognized as legitimate there has to be some sort of evidence to make the assumption worth consideration. In order for me to even consider the existence of a god there must be a significant amount of evidence to make the theory viable.
Otherwise it's no different than someone's crazy uncle claiming that he was abducted by aliens.
I can see that, however I would say we exist when we shouldn't (science is based off of the notion of cause and affect that is their is a reason for everything that something cannot simply happen without something causing it which would then mean that the universe existing would be in direct conflict with this notion) and most consider the big bang a valid theory despite the fact that their is little to know evidence to back it up (in fact their are several other cosmological theories that (at least they claim) explain not only what we know but do a better job of it). So I can see your stance under the condition of apatheism (not caring if their is or is not a god or indifferent to the notion) but having minimal evidence now does not mean their is no possibility. In fact the notion of the atom had been around for thousands of years before we could prove it.
And of course if I told a man thousands of years ago that their where particles that could exist in multiple locations at the same time or that they could be teleported or made to influence another particle no matter the distance but could not prove it, I would be viewed as insane. Yet every bit of that statement is true (quantum physics) so to rule out the possibility seems a bit like jumping the gun to me, now as I said as it pertains to your everyday life I can fully understand why you would not bother to incorporate it (in fact I honestly think apatheist have some very very good arguments when you think about it) but to rule it out entirely simply because of ambiguity of evidence or how you define it would be premature in my opinion (again I can understand what your saying just my personal view)
@hellionthesage Ah the classic what caused the Big Bang question didn't think you'd bring it up. Everything that we know of requires a cause and effect, so what caused the Big Bang?
Religious people are quick to jump on the God bandwagon but when asked where did God come from they simply reply "God's eternal".
I don't know what caused the Big Bang, it is possible that it was the collision of 2 or more universes. This would imply that we live in a multiverse. However with this, you end up with an infinite regression.
That is why it is best to believe nothing until it has been verified.
Very true, and thats my point to believe in no god is still belief. And as you pointed out you still run into that same issue with a multiverse situation (because if its infinitily occuring, like the argument for god, it would still violate this principle having no original cause) Hence my agnosticism, the fact is I do not know and if I may be honest I don't think I or any one else CAN know. God could be or not be a measurable thing, or an idea/persepective so that is why I take the stance of acknowledging my ignorance of it. We do not know and I don't think thats necessarily a bad thing its just when people claim they know for a fact their is no god yet have no fact to prove it that I find issue. So yes I agree do not believe (hold as true) something without the facts to verify it.
@QuestionMan
It could very well be that submitting had a different meaning in the past than it has today. Same goes with a wife submitting to her husband. It might meant just giving yourself and your fullest.
@FakeName123 It essentially did. The man had the responsibility of providing and keeping the family safe which he could not do if the wife was constantly undermining his authority. Imagine a military leader being constantly questioned by underlings in front of other underlings, what message does that send? Sure they should be allowed to question but their is a time and place for it. Or a manager that is not allowed to tell his workers what to do yet will be held responsible for anything that goes wrong? Obviously that cannot work, it would fall apart.(probably why we have such issues today). So she submitted to his judgment since she was living off of him because she tasked him with providing for her for sheltering her and for protecting her which he could not do unless she listened to him, obeyed him, and submitted to his authority.
There are plenty of good things in all religions, I'll emphasize this though: "... It is a physical manifestation of my submission... " And that's it. That is what it is. Now for some people that might be exactly what they want but you can't say that it isn't about submitting and then praise it for that very quality :)
If it turned out to be for you then I wish you all the best, truly.
"Not Without MY Daughter" revisited. Good luck getting out of there once you are there and he takes your passport!

I use to wear a hijab all of the time, before I joined the military. I'm just not Muslim... Or anything for that matter, but I enjoy the modesty behind scarfs. Most are shocked when they see my past photos. Anyway, enjoy your new cultural immersion.
Glad you made a smooth transition and as long as you are happy that's really all that matters
For the people who say you don't need a relgion to tell you morals they are wrong , without god everything is permitted , your take is great
C'mon Omar I thought you knew better than to tie morality to religion. I'm an atheist and you don't see me killing babies.
@QuestionMan thousands of atheist soldiers are killing babies brutally in Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan... are u lying or u just find media propaganda sufficient for ur general awareness? 😏
@xan1488 There are 2 things wrong with your argument.
1) No specifics. What group in particular are you referring too?
2) All individuals are different, the actions of one group do not represent everyone. Just like Daesh doesn't represent Muslims, atrocities committed by the Soviets do not represent atheists.
@QuestionMan moral things like sex before marriage , homosexualtiy, some times stealing
I am not saying atheists got no morals coz that is stupid
I am saying like what makes smoking weed wring morally I am talking more about a philosophical way , and I was quoting those weren't my words dude
Well sex before marriage isn't a purely atheist thing, it began in the 1960s with the introduction of birth control.
Homosexuality is a birth defect so nothing we can do about that.
Theft is a crime regardless who does it.
Smoking weed has nothing to do with morality, it's just stupid since it kills brain cells and can lead to bronchitis.
@QuestionMan I am not saying it's an atheist thing I mean there are relgious people who still do it , I am discussing concept not people or their acts
Morality isn't relgion , but relgion is absolute morality
Morality is a set of principles that are seen as good that people should live by. Religion merely takes some and puts it in a book. What may be moral to you, may be immoral and to me and vice versa since morality is a whole range of principles which are based on observation, analysis and societal acceptance.
@QuestionMan we got to a point that morals might be subjective , so what is the absolute scale of right and wrong and morals? To me it's relgion that's what I meant
One doesn't need a religion to follow god. Duh.
@YourFutureEx god created us with the ability of hearing and talking so he must talk to us and show us something and that thing is his books
People of my religion used to pray and live their life peacefully even before there was any holy book on this earth.
@YourFutureEx true living is in the after life , how could you enter heaven without some special acts and behaves and worships
To buy a castle you need a huge amount of money , and we arw talking about heaven it ain't free at all
"Islam"
"liberating"
LOL. After you eventually learn how to make improvised explosives and how to jihad, please stay the hell out out and don't come back to our shores.
She actually claim that being force to be covered from head to toe is "liberating".
Yes it's better for her not to come back, and yes she would learn the importance of jihad in Islam.

I am not really sure about GaG putting an extremely vague piece of borderline religious propaganda using a bunch of stock images up as a promoted take.
religious propaganda? what would all the mytakes against islam be then? the islam tag has waay more negative than positive questions and takes so that makes me think that you rather only see the negative ones because you deem it the "truth" rather than "propaganda". i disagree, this one seems honest and interesting since islam is the fastest growing religion in the world whereas the ones that nitpick quranic verses are dishonest and fear mongering.
Its not a propaganda... Besides like @chintita said, so, its okay to say hateful things about a religion but its not okay to share your experience and make things clear about your religion for people that might misunderstand it? Its okay to right a MyTake saying its okay to be gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/trans or whatever other crap, just coz some people consider it as " human rights" ? Well, she didn't obligate anyone to do anything, she is talking about her experience and sharing her point of view, which is a human right.. she can say what she wants on here, just like other gaggers and that doesn't make it a propaganda.
@DaniaMQ this ^^^
only type of person who doesn't enjoy hearing different sides of a situation wants to stay ignorant.
@chintita hahahah and your comment is well said as well! 😌
yep, unfortunately.
It doesn't read like it was written by a real person about their weird experiences. It is too generalised. It seems more like it was written by someone with an agenda to promote, and they did an extremely poor job of disguising it as a heartfelt piece about their life. The use of strange stock images (wow, curry), the weird need to highlight the ban on alcohol consumption as one of the very first points made, it reads more as an advertisement.
@chintita What new insight did you gain from this Take? It's more "Islam 101" as opposed to a peek into the author's new life.
i get that she didn't talk too much about her life although she did talk about not drinking for 2 years and how she met her husband but she is showing her perspective of islam which is refreshing because i never see that perspective on this site. i haven't read a positive religious mytake and it was interesting to see what spoke to her about islam. it'd be propaganda if she was bashing on other religions and telling us what to do but instead she's just speaking about her religion albeit vaguely.
@chintita Propaganda is intended to promote an agenda - bashing other points of view can sometimes be a part of that, but it is not essential. The human angle the author attempted to apply is their attempt to engage you emotionally.
If you look beyond the fact it's got a positive message, you'll see it barely has any meaningful message at all.
i think most mytakes aren't meaningful but with that definition you could call any intentionally persuasive mytake propaganda.
@chintita Yes, you could. I don't dispute that.
this is so cute, i remember wanting to be muslim. i was drawn to the hijab for the same reasons but it didn't work out for me haha
So you converted to Islam is well? Or you just thought about converting? 😊
**as well
@DaniaMQ just thought lol it didn't last but i really respect the religion and don't see it like the rest of the gaggers do :)
Thank you, and I wish all people were like you lol 😊 but may I ask why you didn't converte at the end? And what was the thing to attract you to it from the first place? ( I'm just curious to know other peoples points of views haha I hope I'm not bothering with it) we can talk about it through private messages if you want!
@DaniaMQ it's kinda funny but when i was around 17 i dreamed that my sister died and i woke up crying and really scared of death. i felt really lost so i decided to take up a religion because i was raised not very religious. i thought christianity was too boring so i searched about islam and read a lot of web pages about it, i listened to the quran and it was really soothing although i didn't understand it. i even learned how to pray lol but then when i learned a bit more about what happens to gay people and non-believers in hell i thought it was wrong. also i couldn't wait till marriage to have sex haha i know the religion has nothing to do with terrorism and is in my opinion the better religions of the world, i still couldn't believe all the negative things about afterlife.
Well, that's what your opinion was, i will still respect it. 🙊😌
thanks again for not being like others, we really need more people like you 😂
@chintita I really appreciate ur efforts u made for knowing religion, i have a simple question if u are comfortable answering it.
why does a mother threatens her child to keep him restrained from any wrongful or harmful act?
@xan1488 lol i know where that question is going, by threatening. but i don't see how being homosexual is wrong and i don't see how premarital sex is wrong with our kind of technology.
alright, i hope u are clear with threatening thing,
so now we have homosexual and pre marital sex; right?
sex by functionality is biological activity of transmitting sperm into womb so that an offspring can be produced. and also it has overhead perks of emotional and mental satisfaction which tie/strengthen the bond between both partners.
so as for homosexual thing it is unnatural and opposite to the designed functionality, and psychologically 99.9 % of humans find it awful and disgusting, and rest of 0.1% who manage to absorb and tolerate all that disgust do such things which can not supported if u see NATURAL response of 99.9% majority; hence we can conclude that it is unnatural and disgusting thats why we are commanded to refrain from it.
@xan1488 i don't see that view though which is why i disagree with that part, i think homosexuality and premarital sex are okay and don't hurt anyone as long as both parties are consensual. i respect the religion but i don't like homophobia which is why it didn't work out :) thanks for giving me reasoning but it's still not for me
now for pre marital thing;
we also know that sex is not just a fling to gain timely satisfaction, it makes a emotional and spiritual bond between both partners, and naturally we can not have such bond with many people at the same time, it is for one special person, which we find through marriage which is a guarantee security for each other that no one is leaving that bond.
if we defy this bond our emotional and spiritual structure gets corrupted and damaged,
i am 27 and still virgin because i know it is worth waiting even though sometimes i get mad because of my sexual urges but i knw that waiting is no loss.
@xan1488 hm, interesting. a girl told me she prefers having sex be "mysterious" and it was mind blowing after she got married. another reason why i liked islam is because it's extremely pro-sex loll as long as it's after marriage
Haha, true, Islam encourages to enjoy ur life as much as u can but within limits of decency.
@chintita u said homo is not harming society, true! i agree with u. but u are forgetting something more important, which is one's ownself; homosexuality deosnt just harm one's emotional and psychological structure but also ruins one's self esteem. as a proof i tell u something that among a dozen people u can easily identify a homosexual person because of his shattered self esteem. Islam loves human and stops them from ruining themselves. is it not a logical thing?
@xan1488 i disagree, some of the most confident people i know are gay haha
this is because they live in a tolerant society which doesn't humiliates them for their actions and this is appreciable, but their psychological and emotional structure is deeply damaged, you can see it if u have a close interaction with one.
@xan1488 lol!! okay
:)
i hope u keep reading for ur own sake till u get ur answers :)
good luck
@xan1488 i'm of course open to it, if i'm convinced of it then all that means is that i will go to heaven :D if i'm not convinced then that would mean that i don't believe in it so it wouldn't matter haha win win both ways so i'll keep an open mind :)
Good luck and may u win :)
The usual islamic propaganda that only deceives fools and of course most of them stupid brain dead women with no sense of in group loyalty who want to show how "progressive" and "liberated" they are. Nice try you muslim sympathiser.
I find multi cultural relationships to be interesting. I hope that things go well. People don't understand other cultures and their behavior so I hope that you dont take anything to heart.
Islam will take you straight to hell. Get out while you can. Islam, according to the Bible, is also the beast and antichrist. Here is the proof:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXrIeEU9bwgLol, sign me up to be treated like a piece of shit.
You get what you ask for.
But then I would suggest go sign up somewhere else, as Islam doesn't offer that.
Great take! It's nice to see a new, fresh perspective of the benefits Islam has brought to people; especially with all the negative sentiments surrounding the news and internet lately.
As long as you're happy, I think that's what really matters. :)
