How North Carolina has been fucked over by the new law.

Before we get started,this is a warning that this is not a discussion of whether or not I agree or disagree with the HB2 law in North Carolina. This is simply a perspective written by a citizen of North Carolina and how the state is being affected. North Carolina is my home state and I love it here. But,this hate and jackassery on both sides has ruined us and how people view us. And guess what we're paying dearly for it.

1.We have lost businesses and jobs and may lose more.

Pay Pal had plans to add a new operations center and hundreds of jobs in Charlotte. But after Governor McCrory and the NC General Assembly shot themselves in the foot we lost that to a Asian county whose stance and laws are a lot worse than ours. This is fucking hypocrisy! Just so they can pay lower wages and treat their workers like shit while we actually have labor laws that are supposed to prevent this discrimination. Bank Of America whose headquarters are in Charlotte have faced a lot of heckling to move to Connecticut after passage of the HB2 law. Wells Fargo has also faced pressure to pull it's east coast headquarters out of Charlotte. More businesses will follow suit for sure. We need jobs to live. And thanks to this stupid law we are losing them.

2. We are losing tourism and concerts.

According to CBS News, the state tourism board in Raleigh as said that in the last month or so that NC has lost almost $3 million in tourism dollars over the laws. As a result Themeparks will suffer lower attendance ratings, Hotels will not be doing as good in business, The Mountains will not get as many sight seers. Not only that but musicians and entertainers no longer want to preform in North Carolina. Bruce Springsteen,Ringo Starr,Demi Lovato, Cyndi Lauper,Boston, Pearl Jam, Nick Jonas, Cirque Du Soleil, Boston,and others have cancelled concerts in Charlotte,Raleigh,Greensboro,and Winston Salem over.the new law. This will not only hurt the fans who have paid money to see them, but it will also hurt revenue of the arenas and venues all the way from security to the popcorn vendors to the ticket sellers. There is also a possibility that North Carolina may lose the 2017 NBA all star game in Charlotte over this law.

This law has hurt our people and our image as being a friendly state. We are vilified as being hatemongers. The people of North Carolina didn't vote for this law. We voted the politicians in,but they can be voted out. I usually don't talk about religion but I do have to say as a Christian myself that Jesus commanded all Christians to love one another and not to deny any basic human needs based on any difference. The fundamentalists have totally screwed this up by pushing their own agenda to discriminate against anyone who is different than them. I mean North Carolina isn't Nazi Germany. Just because some politicians signed a bill and made it hard on people does not mean that is the viee among people in North Carolina. We didn't even get to vote on this. So really the citizens of NC are not to blame, it's the crooked politicans getting money from organizations and companies that have fucked us six ways from Sunday. We are paying for their mistakes. We want to be open to everyone. This state has so much beauty and wonderful things to offer. It's just a shame some jackasses want to ruin it
