I love how "black people" want to be treated equally, and say there's no difference in your color but it's who you are as a person, yet "white people" aren't allowed to dance, say nigga, listen to rap, talk slang, or anything because they are "too white". This is 2016 get over yourselves already.

There's a thing called reverse racism that is in the today's world. Of course we don't have it as bad as African Americans, but there's a lot of people today who are racist, rude, and spit on the name of whites. I'm a white and people judge me by it. They think I'm a spoiled little rich girl living of my parents money. It's the actual opposite. Growing up my parents were poor, couldn't afford a lot of things. Now I have to work my ass off everyday so don't you ever call me a spoiled rich girl.

I read this recent take on about how a white person will kill a black person and it'll make front news, but when a black person kills a white person no one blinks a eye. See that's what's wrong about this country people want to make it seem like black people are the victims, and I agree they had it rough back then and they were enslaved, but it's not that way any more.

Now I'm not saying white people have it so horrible, but we don't have it as good as everyone makes it seem. White people aren't allowed to have white pride. If black people, and every other can then we should be allowed to show our pride of our heritage. I was telling some friends at school how I was proud to have Italian blood running through my veins. And they just gave me a look, and one person said I was being racist. Racist? Being proud of my heritage is racist? I don't hold a grunge against any race, and I don't think I'm better then anyone of another race.

I had this one black friend at school who made everything about racism. Oh he didn't get picked first for a sport? Someone was being rude to him? Someone didn't share something with him? He automatically made it all about "just because he was black"

Which annoyed the crap out of me. He was calling everyone racist, while he was the racist one.

I love people regardless of their race, but please don't act like just because you're of a certain race doesn't mean you're treated lesser then anyone else.

I'm white and I acknowledge I've benefitted from White Privilege in my life, it is not bullshit. Although, it is not a massive driving force that some people make it out to be.
-Police do not profile me and assume I am trouble
-Business school interviewing was a breeze essentially
-Professionally, I am assumed to be intelligent and have to prove otherwise. Whereas I've noticed colleagues of minority it's the other way around.

I've observed all this, being White helps you in the US.

And I do agree with most of what you said. If I ever said I was proud to have Eastern European heritage someone would call me a racist even though that statement has nothing to do with them.

is the result of having such a successful culture that we’ve been able to work up the wealth and borrowing capacity to effectively pay for the lives of three generations. Naturally, since they have nothing else in life and you committed the cardinal sin of exposing them, they don’t stop and take your constructive criticism seriously, pondering the valid point you made about them wasting their one finite and precious life on this planet. No, instead, their lizard brain kicks into high gear and goes into full defensive mode and identifies you as a threat. Therefore, while you’re trying to make the point that a 37 year old single mom getting her Masters in Creative Writing who will only find employment because of an unneeded government make-work job really isn’t anything to be proud of, said person will become emotionally enraged and attack you.

Now, since you are being factual and not emotional, while your assailant is doing the opposite, you can expect whatever criticisms you’re about to receive to be personal in nature. And we’ve all heard them before to the point they’re predictable:

You live in your mother’s basement.
You can’t get any.
You have a small penis.
You’re gay.
You’re ugly/fat yourself.
etc. etc. etc.
None of which have to do with the points you made.
None of which advances or builds off of the previous conversation.
None of which actually brings about a genuine and productive solution.
However, to the rookie you’ll take personal umbrage to these assaults and abandon the argument to defend your honor. To the novice you’ll become frustrated that these people lack the capacity for logical, reasoned, intellectually honest, and unemotional thought. But to the experienced, seasoned veteran you will realize that you rea

Dancing - There's a stereotype that white people can't dance well. That doesn't mean you can't dance it's just what everyone thinks because stereotypes come from somewhere.
Nigga - Nigga is a term that used to be used soley by the black community as a word of brotherhood and strength. Now most nonwhites use the word in the same context and I feel as if every group that uses it (race wise) has had a struggle. People don't like whites saying it because they didn't have the struggle and brought it upon these people. Now I don't agree with using the word although I am a person of color, but that's the logic.
Slang - bae, fam, lit, omg, etc are all slang and whites use it all the time.
Rap - everyone can listen to rap, no one really cares.
Racial Killings - It's not that no one will bat an eye it's the media making money off of it and framing it as racism, which it may or may not be.
Racism (You) - seems like he was just an idiot, doesn't translate to the rest of the world. If anything you could say Italians have had a struggle (not really) since they're notorious for surrendering lol.
Racism (Global) - if you're white you have privilege. Between racial profiling, people assuming you're good, no one gives you a dirty look, and you don't have to dread the police.
Bottom line: Privilege exists on all planes, not only race. Being white, rich, male (usually but debatable), good looking, educated, heterosexual, and generally accepted by society gives you a shit ton of privilege (and others things as well). And in things that you are/aren't and do/don't have and your privilege changes.
BUT
That doesn't mean if you have less privilege you should whine about it. Live with what you have and move forward.

Italian is not a race, it's an ethnicity. Italians aren't white by the way... The people who gave you a dirty look are just assholes and racist. No one has gave me a dirty look just because I stated I'm GERMAN.

Yes it is annoying how people would assume that just because you are of a certain race, you would either have it worse or better. That's just stereotypes and no one has told me that "oh you're a white boy you must have it better than everyone else" Bullshit.. If a black person shoots a white person. They are more likely to get harsher penalties for it because they are studies done to prove that blacks tend to get harsher sentences.

Only 50% of blacks are in the middle class and they are a minority. Now please don't tell me, white privilege doesn't exist. It generally does. Of course there are whites who have it better than most people and there blacks who have it better than most people. Racism exists and studies have proven it.

People can complain all they want and blame whatever they want. That stuff is not that annoying if you don't surround yourself with them. But you're not black why do you care about them complaining about their issues of how racism affects them?

I think of White privilege as not you having privilege because of your skin color. But because of the benefits your ancestors gave you. E. g. deep roots, money, being the majority.

So you could say any race that is a majority in a country as privileged.
