5 Reasons I'm SMH At Other 13-Year-Olds

With Instagram, Snapchat and other things, our generation is kinda falling apart. 13-year-olds almost look 17 these days and actually act like it, too (mostly the girls). As much as I love to see them show off their bodies on Instagram and other pointless stuff this is why I am not like them! (I am not saying all 13 year olds are like this, though.)

1) Most of them are spoiled

Like the other day I was just listening to this girl my age complain about how her mum didn't get her the Samsung S7 Edge and she got a stupid iPhone 6s Plus. I swear, most of them are very ungrateful.

2) The Kylie and Kim wannabes

I do have Instagram and Snapchat but seriously I am not addicted. I actually originally went behind my parents back twice to get Instagram (guess the first beating wasn't enough). And when I look on Instagram, they all have basically the same poses and feeds. They all comment with the heart eyes emoji and 'slay' and 'hottie,' and this is only an act so they can get a comment back on one of their pictures. Most of them 'try to be Tumblr' and there a lot of selfies but none of them have Bible verses any more. They all basically have pictures like this one here:

3) 'Couple goals!'

Not gonna deny it: I've had a crush on 5 or 6 guys in my entire life. But most of the girls are looking for a boyfriend or an accessory to carry around and to post pictures with. They rush into getting a boyfriend and falling in love. We still have a long time, there is no need to hurry.

4) Not caring about school.

What if they fail and become a hobo? I won't lie, sometimes a lot of teenagers can't be bothered with school anymore and couldn't care less. Then the ones with really strict parents try their hardest. I asked a couple of teenagers, 'if you are failing, what will you do when you finish school?'. Most of the responses are, "get a job at McDonalds?" That does not pay enough for anyone to ever feed a family, buy a house, a car and basic needs. And others say my parents will pay for everything for me. Your parents aren't going to be around forever and certainly they will not work for the rest of their lives for you when they can retire and use their money to go to a holiday maybe in Hawaii.

The school I go to is the about 15th best in the state where I live. Our classes are divided into 4's (if you get A's you would be in class 1 and B's in class 2, C's in class 3 and D's in class 4). Our classes in particular areas got so crowded at the bottom class they had to bring people to higher classes like 2 and 3.

5) We are expected to be like Nicki Minaj!

They make fun of your weight and that's not all these days. Now you don't see comments like 'She's so fat'. A totally healthy person could be made fun of because they are not curvy or have 'no ass' or no boobs. Thanks to Instagram and social media, they expect us to have that kind of figure. But we kind of can't. We are only starting to grow up! It takes a long time and we can't wake up one morning with big boobs and a small waist with curves.
