I don't think it's controversial... it's just a bit uncomfortable for some people when it's done in public, I think.
(Mostly because of the weirdos out there.)
Because some frustrated people are obsessed with breasts.
I didn't know it's so controversial but it's obvious it's nature's way. With formula it's made with the same ingredients so mother's can be more discreet with their titles. Just go to the store and buy breast pump. That way you drain the boobies and feed the infant.

It's not about wanting the world to see your breasts, it's about knowing the baby is uncomfortable with a cover, the woman is uncomfortable with the cover, and when the baby is hungry it's hungry.

And the baby is under the hot blanket. It is the baby that is uncomfortable.

As most who have followed me know, I have stated many times that I have attended nude beaches and resorts (with my wife when she was alive) of about 50 years. I have also told of being in a few naked bike rides (along with 10,000 other people in my city). And I have never run any naked races of any kind. I have also answered a question about who has exchanged nude pictures on here with the fact that I have. But it has only been by consent of both parties.
She sent me a picture of her breasts and suggested more was coming, I probably returned a picture to her, though I do not remember. But I have NEVER demanded anyone send me ANY pictures. As for having a bone to pick with her and making pissy comments to her, I did not even know she was that woman, and I have not been making pissy comments to her. @starliteyes is either in a fantasy land or just making things up completely.
And my comments on this thread have been completely based on my experience as a father of a nursing child and the problems my wife faced.
Also important is that the pictures I have exchanged were all long after the death of my wife, none while she was alive.

Regardless of what @Red_Arrow sent or did not send, he has a point! Women don't breastfeed to get other men's attention. We breastfeed solely for the benefit and comfort of our child. If formula had the same benefits as breastmilk, I would never breastfeed!!! I've got scratches all over my tits, it is a little uncomfortable when people have something wrong with you feeding the baby, I can't drink, I can't hardly ever leave the house without her, etc. As much as I'd love to have flawless tits, have an occasional drink, go out on dates or by myself, not have to deal with people's uncomfortable stares, my baby's hunger matters to me much more than my own discomfort. If creeps are staring at me feeding my baby, I think that's their issue not mine. I'm doing what my breasts were eveolved to do. And like I said, I've tried a cover but my daughter didn't like it because it kept getting in the way of her feeding and stressed her out which stressed me out which made her stress out more.

Even if breasts aren't perceived as sexual by you or women, men ate hardwired to associate breasts with marrying as larger breasts generally relate to better ability to feed the child. Like it or not, breasts are tied to sexual health and ability in women. Either understand that men will look, women will be appalled, or do it in private.
What is wrong with covering up or going somewhere private like I see most women do? I was with my sister at the mall once and she needed to feed my niece so she asked a store manager if she could go to the back of the store, and he told her yes and gave her a chair. Like why make a big deal? I guess in my country women are different.

It's okay, maybe I misread your tone. I understand what you're saying. Some women do it because they can and want to cause a scene. Maybe that's so. But for me, it's not that way. My baby gets really angry and fussy when she gets hungry so instead of waiting 5 minutes dealing with a cranky baby just to find an empty place to feed her, I feed her where I'm at. I've tried a cover but she hates it. A lot of babies just push the covers off, so unfortunately for some people a lot of mothers cannot use one.

I dislike it mainly because it is suppose to be a private moment. I agree that you should breast feed your child but I think that if you can afford a breast pump, use it. If you can feed your child before you go out, do so. I don't make a big deal out of it If I see it in public but I really wish the person wouldn't. It make me uncomfortable. Seeing most people undressed sexual or unsexual, makes me a small bit uncomfortable. So seeing a woman breast feed makes me uncomfortable as well.
