I was convinced Le Pen was going to win the election in France after the same thing that happened to us (frontrunner getting a bunch of stuff leaked right before the election) but France has chosen a leader who seems committed to keep Europe together in unity rather than moving in a direction of nationalistic right wing separation that other countries seem to be following.

Trump Probably Won't Have A Strong Ally With France

It seems weird as he's our President, but as someone who sees the whole world as interconnected, I feel like it's good that not too many world leaders think like he does. Sadly, there's no one right now that I particularly would love to see in the Oval Office, but I don't believe America first will last very long as our major mindset/guiding policy.

The Leakers Failed

I feel like these leaks must be interconnected or at least there's a strong possibility that they are. The fact that an election wasn't swayed by leaks suggests our own election was maybe more fair than some of us think.

Without Momentum, A Movement Will Fail

The right wing takeover can't progress if only a few countries adopt it, however strong those countries might be. It has to be a sweep. Progressives are on the side of progress, the way the world is becoming not the way it's been. This election in France should give those who don't want to "go back to how America was" Just because you didn't like some of what the Democrats did doesn't mean you have to go all the way back to beginning. America has gotten better not worse and doesn't need an overhaul.

He didn't just win narrowly he dominated her repeatedly and she finally submitted that she lost and that people want "continuity instead of change." This is how you beat your enemies...completely. Or else, they come back stronger to defeat you later.

Le Pen is economically well to the left of Macron.

Anti-immigrant views are often just tagged by liberals as "far right". If you want to call anyone racist "far right" that's fine but people should be aware it can come from anywhere. Le Pen was more like an anti immigrant Bernie Sanders. That's not a weird aberration. In Canada in Quebec the anti immigrant forces are primarily on the center left as well. And in the US trumps campaign positions were on a number of issues to the left of traditional republic A positions.

In any case I'm happy to see she didn't just lose she did a little worse than polls suggested. Still alarmingly high.

The most common response by the mainstream media about the leaked emails, if you exclude the French outlets prohibited by law from discussing them, has been to blame Russia directly or insinuate that it is responsible. Accompanying this has been an extreme unwillingness to talk about what the emails actually say.

NPR, for example, has continued its woeful record as a biased source. It was quick to carry the leftist torch with this article. Yet despite having easy access to 4chan’s /pol/ section, it mentioned none of the damaging allegations against Macron discussed in the forum, let alone covered the in-depth analysis undertaken by contributors there.

Even far less unreliable outlets like Britain’s The Telegraph have somewhat jumped on the bandwagon, quoting such disgraced “sources” as Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign manager, Robby Mook. Having been beaten by Donald Trump, who never had the powerful support of the media, Wall Street, or academics, cronies like Mook have every reason to say that Russia heads a global conspiracy to discredit leftist Western politicians. Again, this article and others like it lacked any consideration of the substance of the leaked emails.
GotNews, whose founder Chuck Johnson was instrumental in unveiling the UVA rape hoax, has seized upon news that the new French President may be on a gay dating email list. Called Vestiaire Gay, the website appeared in the trove of leaked messages. If authentic, Macron’s homosexuality would prove correct the insistence of many of his detractors that his marriage to a woman a quarter of a century older than him is a sham.

Macron possibly lying about his sexual orientation and the reason for his marriage would also raise serious questions about both his character and integrity. France faces close to insurmountable problems, especially of the Islamic and demographic varieties. A candidate already supported to the hilt by high finance who can’t even be open about which orifice he likes the most is one everyday Frenchmen and women not only do not need but should greatly fear.
Just prior to the dumping of emails, Emmanuel Macron initiated legal action against Marine Le Pen for her comments about others’ allegations he has an offshore bank account in the Bahamas. Le Pen, however, did not come close to accusing him of this.
Weirdly enough, one of Jack Posobiec’s key disclosures has been 4chan’s work on suspected offshore financial assets held by Macron at, you guessed it, a Cayman Islands bank in the Caribbean.

If verified fully by the authorities (presuming they are even interested), this would be a supreme irony. Why? Because until he started his own movement, Macron was a key architect of the superficially anti-corporate Socialist government.
After the Paris nightclub massacre and the Nice truck rampage, Return Of Kings hoped that a more sensible man than François Hollande (or even a woman in the form of Le Pen) would become the next President of France. But, alas, the French people have voted in an establishment figure, a globalist who up until recently was one of the top advisors to the Hollande regime.
While the Macron emails purportedly show top aides buying criminalized narcotics online and references to getting the boss some “c..” (cocaine?), it seems the French people have their own drug of choice: denial. Only this can explain the turn of events unfolding in France over the weekend.

However Macron is also a terrible candidate. His program is, so far, unknown. He hasn't commented a lot. All his talks have been empty rhetoric, with a complete lack of details. All we know for sure is that he's a bankster and completely sold out to the financial oligarchy. This doesn't bode well.

The world being interconnected is NOT an inherently better thing than a world in which people put the interests of their own nation first. Nations that compete for the better quality of their own citizens' lives are like businesses that compete against other businesses: they cause the world to grow.

There is a place for both globalism and nationalism. That the latter term has been demonized is a great indicator of how narrow modern, educated morality has become. The moral matrices of loyalty, authority, and sanctity are considered "antiques" or "outdated" values.

I don't see how this is a great day. Le Pen was never going to win this, it was obvious from the start. Macron is much closer to the American conservative thought than was Le Pen who was basically a socialist with a nationalistic bend. The "right" in France is a far different thing from American conservatives. The result will be a better relationship with the US than it would have been with Le Pen.

Culture and religion is indicative to you, politics should be separate from politics at all cost, and if it isn't try and do something about it, Europe's population is 5% Muslim, that's not that much, and in all honesty, Sharia law isn't as bad as many people say it is, it's like reading the old testament and saying all of Christianity is flawed. It's true these people have a different mindset, but they've got as much right to be proud of their heritage as you do, and as little right as you do to enforce their beliefs on you.
