Lol, most parts of the world that LGBTQ community have little or rights
you might be the biggest pussy on earth if you feel persecuted with heterphobia when 99% of the population is heterosexual
Are you familiar with a “ad hominem”?
Yes, I am. I’m also am familiar with persecution complex
It’s not a “persecution complex” if the concern is reasonable.
exactly, and your concern isn't reasonable. nigga, you have to be the biggest bitch ass pussy on earth. you crying about a comedy skit :D :D :D man, i got 4 sisters. i'll call 1 of them up to send you a tampon... fuck, i'll even make it extra heavy for ya ;) i swear most of y'all on this site are bitch made. i coached 8 year old girls who aren't this soft :D
It actually is reasonable, now can that attitude.
This is about Misandry. There is no such thing as heterophobia.
heterophobia is cancer 😡
Dear god you actually cited one of those stupid evangelical ex gay hate sites
So choosing a certain lifestyle and expressing different views is now considered “hate”.
We are talking about the guys who hook electrodes to the genitals of gay kids in an effort to 'shock the gay' out of children
So you’re saying this website is filled with people that practice this? Or are you just exaggerating?
That is literally what gay conversion therapy is
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conversion_therapy
I’m asking if anybody on that website has done it, not what it is. I know what conversion therapy is and I don’t advocate it.
this is interesting, I'll keep it in mind
is this a joke post? you trolling? I've never heard of this
You’ve never heard it because it’s subtle.
but its not an issue, idc what they have to say. at the end of the day, if they try to offend straight people, no one will care because they will look foolish tbh
Who will look foolish?
Anyone making fun, or having a phobia against heterosexual people
hahahaha
I agree
This is hilarious
It’s not because it’s a actual issue that people rarely talk about.
Do you really feel like your daily life really is affected by the fact that some gay comedian is making a joke? I'm straight myself and I've literally never felt marginalized or affected by the fact that I'm straight. I haven't been bullied because I'm straight. I haven't had people try to convert my sexuality into something else through mental and physical abuse. I've never felt the need to hide my heterosexuality. I've never felt as though I need to "come out" with the fact that I'm straight.
Like forreal you just wanna try so hard to feel discriminated against that it's actually funny. This is not a problem. At all.
I never said everyone will experience heterophobia, just like not everyone will experience racism. Obviously if someone were writing a take condemning homophobia or misogyny, nobody would say it’s “hilarious”. Just because you don’t experience heterophobia or misandry doesn’t mean they aren’t real.
Because those are actual problems that actually affect people's lives. You're just mad that a lesbian comedian made a joke about how shitty men can be at dating. Jesus lmao. And the reason why some people find it interesting to re-imagine characters as gay is not because they have some weird mindset that heterosexual people are the worst, but because gay people are severely underrepresented in all forms of media and it's interesting to see something breaking the norm. There's no reason to re-write gay characters as straight though, as 99% of the media consume already caters to straight people. So like don't even.
99% of the media we consume*
This is only a example. In fact there is nearly a endless amount of scenarios where heterophobia is present but of course I’m not going to put every single one here. It’s clear that you didn’t read the whole take either since you are only referring to the first part. The fact that you are also implying that misandry “isn’t” real shows that you have some biases.
And yes Heterophobia and misandry are actual problems that people are too scared to talk about. Just because you never experienced heterophobia doesn’t mean other people don’t face heterophobia. As for misandry, since you aren’t a male you can’t completely understand what misandry is unless you try put yourself in a man’s shoes like this woman did, she was actually able to see what men go through. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CjsDtXYh3k4
Lmfao and they say feminists create problems out of thin air
enjoy your social suicide m8
Amazing mytake.
lmao what dude?
Just because you haven’t experienced heterophobia, doesn’t mean it’s not real. There are plenty of people who have.
Data? Sources?
The links. There are plenty of sources out there as well, people just need to look for them.
Bunch of opinions. What about actual data? Research data. That real deal. Not some news.
You really think I’m going to post hundreds of links on here? That would be spamming. If you want to see them, you have to look for them on your own. Even if I did show you so called “statistics” you still would be demanding more proof.
If you want “statistics” then you can start by looking at websites like “a voice for men” or “life site news”.
So no actual data and just opinion pieces?
Heresay.
Now you are just playing “devil’s advocate” but are also using the red herring fallacy
I am only asking for actual data. Something simple like how many people think so. You gave a bunch of opinion pieces.
It's the same level of tin foil hat conspiracy. They got a bunch of obscure sources without actual reliable research. And you tell me to trust something like that?
If your not going to trust something just because it doesn’t support your personal views then this conversation is futile. I didn’t just select random links that support my views, I actually made sure they aren’t fake or satirical.
Another thing is that most websites don’t do research on this subject because they would most certainly face societal backlash.
You asking me to believe tin foil hat conspiracy? Do you believe in them? I am asking for proper proof. You gave none and you want to ask people to believe in you?
It’s not a “tin foil conspiracy”. Like I said, your biases make you dismiss sources that don’t support your personal views. It’s not a “tin foil conspiracy” that the mainstream media has biases.
Do you really think that CNN is going to do research on Heterophobia? Of course not, they have their biases and they know if they do any kind of research on it, they will receive societal backlash due to political correctness. That’s no “tin foil conspiracy”.
So what's the difference between your conspiracy and the tin foil conspiracy?
Now you are using the fallacy of inconsistency. First of all it’s not a conspiracy. Second of all it’s not some made up resource.
Okay not a conspiracy but have no evidence. What's the difference?
The evidence is right there, statistics isn’t the only type of evidence that exists.
Your sources are opinions not factual. They contain at best case study and at worse extreme examples. Not factual. Not data.
Inconsistency? You don't even have a proper argument. Give me something more than heresay and case study.
These ones are factual because they are describing actual events. They aren’t saying saying “we believe” or “This is not right”.
You’re dismissing facts as opinions, that’s why you are still here repeating the same thing over and over again. You probably just skimmed through the articles.
Look show the data instead of case study. You get a bunch of opinions about some isolated cases and call it proper facts?
Dude, they could prove UFO with crop circles before people debunked that! The same dude could prove we never had an moon landing because the cops secretly raid his place.
Your neighbor has a car, the guy on TV has a car, the guy you work with has a car, you have a car. So does everyone has a car? Is the car universal?
Now you’re using the false dilemma fallacy. I’ve already told you that your so called “reliable” sources like CNN, Buzzfeed and Huffpost will never do research on this topic because it doesn’t fit their narrative. It’s no conspiracy theory and it’s not a opinion. It’s because these websites are very biased.
You’re basically asking me to do the research for you. When you can do the research by yourself. Also, your cherry picking argument is invalid since I can show endless examples of both heterophobia and misandry. If I only could find one or 2 examples then you could use that cherry picking argument.
Here are your statistics. www.google.com/.../...mestic-1284479771263030.html
I never said CNN or whatever. I asked for proper data. Research standard that is scientific.
You are the one presenting the case. You are supposed to give proper proof and relevant data. You can't present something and tell people to go look for it. You can't present a goblin and tell people to Google for proof.
Did you read your source? It says men report more abuse than women. So what conclusion can you get from that? Men report more than women. Men get abused more than women. Or what?
Then relevancy. What does that conclusion has anything to do with your take which is about heterophobia.
This take us about both heterophobia and a little bit about misandry. What you seem to be looking for when you say “Data” and ”sources” are statistics. When it comes to heterophobia, it’s not going to have it’s separate category. It’s going to be lumped together with “discrimination based on sexual orientation”. Keep in mind that Statistics aren’t always reliable because they are so easy to make up.
So you don't have anything to prove your point. You shown that men reports more abuses. And you conclude from that people subtlety have heterophobia. You are going to need a mighty amount of reasoning.
Right you can make up statistics and data then what else you can't make up? That's why I asked for proper data. Stuff that can be verified by repeating it with another data collection.
Do you know how scientific method work? Critical reading? Data collection? Peer review? Repeat tests?
And since you graciously concluded that data can be faked. That means none of your sources are even trust worthy or just plain fake sources.
Tell me. What's the difference between crazy conspiracy theory and yours?
You keep repeating yourself and keep putting words in my mouth. I never said that my data could be faked, I said that the data you demand can be faked. I keep telling you why nobody has done research on this yet here you are continuing to bicker. Yet you keep screaming “conspiracy!” “Tin foil!” “give me real data!” It seems that all you want is to keep this argument going. I’ve given you more than enough data yet here you go with your misguided skepticism just because this data doesn’t fit your narrative.
