Feel free to fight me in thecomments, it would be interesting to hear your guys' points of view, but these are my unasked for and unpopular opinions. Enjoy?
1) The "fat acceptance" or the new "body positivity" movement is absolute bullshit. Dont get me wrong, it started with good roots; making sure that people werent discriminated against for their different features, be that amputations, disabilities, or even being out of shape. I do believe that it is important to not belittle and hate any of these people, but the whole movement has just become obesity promotion.
2) Black Lives Matter is absolute bullshit. Again, good roots; helping people overcome racial discrimination. However, due to so many black people playing the victim card, the whole movement has just become cop hate and nowadays, it's more taboo to be a white person, and people are racist towards whites all the time, whether you see it as such or not.
For example, black people can go on and on about how proud they are of their black heritage, but if I mention anything about being proud of my Nordic and Spanish heritage, its taboo and its "white supremacy." How is that fair?
3) Last but not least, feminism. Or, at least, western feminism. Now, again, good origins. And it is used for good in third world countries where prejudice against women actually exists, but in America, quite the opposite is true. Did you know that in a domestic violence case, if a man is accused of abusing a woman, and she shows evidence of such abuse, the man will be incarcerated almost 95% of the time, while if the exact opposite is true, and a woman abused a man with visible signs of abuse, she will only be incarcerated 60ish% of the time? And, more often than not, will keep custody of any kids. Explain to me how that's fair?
So, I have one thing to say to all you feminists; Get your red-haired fat, lazy ass over to Syria and Africa where feminism is actually needed, and do some shit instead of bitching about one guy who breathed in your general direction on the bus.
Again feel free to fight me. Change my mind. Prove to me that these are "necessary" movements.
