The Miranda rights are established
My almost favorite Supreme Court Case (close to Roe v. Wade, Brown v. Board of Ed, Marbury v. Madison, and a few others) Miranda v. Arizona.
What is so special about this. Self Incrimination. This is paramount in today's world, with all what is going on (AND HAS NOTHING TO DO ABOUT RESISTING ARREST)
The Supreme Court overturned his conviction, but Miranda was retried and convicted in October 1966 anyway, despite the relative lack of evidence against him. Remaining in prison until 1972, Ernesto Miranda was later stabbed to death in the men’s room of a bar after a poker game in January 1976.
